Bebe Sport pants are $103 (I believe) and Lulus are $93.
In my experience, Lululemon is more bang for your buck. My Lulus were definately more durable and stayed in great condition, even after washing them. My Bebe Sports... I guess they were OK too.
Bebe Sport pants are generally made with nylon and spandex, while Lulus are made with nylon and lycra. From my knowledge, lycra costs a lot more, which is why cheap imitations of Lulu/TNA pants usually don't use lycra.
If you're looking for pants for going to the Y, I'd go with the Lululemons. For streetwear, I really like my Bebe Sport pants with the rhinestones at the back (the ones that were in stores recently).
Oh yeah, you wanted white yoga pants? I got a pair of white Lulus for $70 (around). I haven't seen white at the Lululemon in Eaton Centre, but they might have some at the other stores. _________________

^basically everything photoxbooth said. LOL. I would go for Lululemon because their quality is amazing, whereas Bebe isn't that great. _________________

| Lulu's are the original (LOVE their stuff!). Plus, as a company, they have sustainability in mind, and probably don't support that sweatshop stuff. |

^ Definately.
Another key point (for me) is that less "teenyboppers" (12 year olds that think they're the sh*t) wear Lululemon, vs. Bebe and TNA. It's really weird for me to walk around in Eaton Centre, and see barely developed girls wearing Bebe shirts, TNA pants, make-up, etc. Maybe it's because I don't live in the big city?
What's more awkward is when 30 year olds wear TNA pants... Lulu pants I understand, since they usually wear them baggy (as opposed to skin-tight) and the whole company is targeted for athleticism/yoga. So, it's acceptable for me to see middle-aged women wearing Lululemon pants at the gym, or just for comfort.
The whole thing with TNA... I personally DO have TNA pants, but I don't wear them often (maybe once every 2 months?). Sure, they're comfortable, but everyone has them and it's so common. And, something my boyfriend said (he used to live in downtown): "Only sl*ts wear TNA. We think of it as 'T*ts and a*s'." Yeah, that really shocked me.
I would pick Lululemon over TNA anyday, even if the cost IS higher ($85 vs. $93 + tax). Better quality, better reputation, better durability, free hemming (yay, for short people). I'm not hating on TNA, since I do have TNA clothes myself, so don't take it that way. Just voicing my preferences.
Haha, Bebe vs. Lulu? Get Lulu... Bebe pants really feel like cheap pants from Stitches. Bebe Sport? The material isn't that good (it stretches to your shape if you wear it tight, like on the butt). _________________

| photoxbooth: yeah i was talking about the bebe sport pants, i went to the one at eaton the other day and felt the quality and it felt pretty durable (compared to tna) but i've never actually walked into a lululemon store before. not a big shoppaholic lol but u do have a point about the lil girls wearing them. i really love my tna pants, but it's hard to wear them when i see grade 7's walkin around in them too. and the free hemming, do they do that when u purchase it or do u have to bring it back to them and leave it over for a day or is it done in like an hour or sumthin? cuz im a little person (really short xD) so free hemming is GOOD =D |

Well, Bebe Sport pants sort of have to be durable (I mean, they're $100+). I'd feel pretty ripped off if they were just to fall apart after a year. Oh, and if you get Lululemons, you should get the reversible groove pants! They're great and you can reverse them so they look like two different pants =) More for your money. Most Lululemon stores make you wait to get them hemmed (so not the same day service). _________________

Did you read what I said? :icon_yahoo: I said "BEBE IS IN ON THIS TREND now too?" insinuating that yes, the yoga pants are a trend. They are everywhere. I wasn't saying brand vs. brand on what is trendier.
And I wouldn't trust Bebe quality necessarily. I only like the tops for going out. the Lulu pants are good quality in my opinion, I was wearing them 5 minutes ago and they are over a year old.
Geesh. And you know what, I want to be on TV so I think I better know what is "trendy" and what isn't, for the record. lol. |

^ LOL the yoga trend! Gosh, so many stores make "yoga pants" now... and most teenagers don't even wear them for yoga. They wear them because:
1. They're form-fitting and make your butt look bigger; guys like that.
2. They're comfortable.
3. The better brands (Lululemon, etc.) use material that absorb sweat. I see tons of people wearing TNA supplex pants in the summer.
4. Everyone else is wearing them.
Honestly, when this "trend" started becoming more popular, I was like "Why does everyone look like they're going to the gym?"
I have no problem with these pants (unless they're on 12 year olds who think they're "all that"). They're comfortable, easy and great for any season (Y) Even if this trend fazes out, you can still wear them to the Y =) _________________

| if its for style, i would say bebe. im sick of my lululemon pants, i got rid of all of mine just becuase i hated how it was tight on the top, and being honest, lululemon pants are just for the gym and working out. i honestly found that they were so high compared to the tna and bebe sport low waist. the only reason i preferred tna was cause it was really low, same as for bebe kinda-ish. i found that lululemon were like highrises |

It just occured to me a few days ago, the saying, "everything old is new again" and how styles come back after 20-25 years. I think this would hold true to the athletic/yoga-wear being in fashion, or at least fashionable.
I mean, it's not *quite* the same style, but the whole "exercise fashion" back in the 80's has come back as our "yoga fashion". Has this occured to anybody else? |

| not really to me, because its not like people are wearing jumpsuits or anything and walking down the streets. i think its just because younger teenagers are thinking that you should dress 'expensive' with name brands and just go with lululemon and tna |

| Well that's what I mean. It's not *exactly* the same style.. but it's the same idea. In the 80's the "exercise wear" became trendy.. regardless of whether or not the people wearing them really did use their clothes to exercise. We do the same thing now. |

| the younger generation just wear yoga pants, in my opinion, because it makes their butt look nicer. i've seen girls who would look gross in jeans and pants because their underdeveloped asses are too small, so they try to wear yoga pants, and that makes it look "bigger" because the pants wont sag. well that's just my opinion of the younger (13 and under) generation wearing it. |
