^It's really cute. I think it would be really versatile since you'll be wearing it for tennis and it would also look great with jeans and some long necklaces so it doesn't look too plain. _________________

^That's a really pretty dress! If you really like that one, a lot more than the original one you were gonna wear, then just wear that one! And don't worry about your friend thinking that you're copying her. As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Wear what YOU want. It doesn't matter what others think. And plus, she IS your friend. It's probably not that big of a deal. _________________

cappucino_cream: I think the dress is cute! And don't worry about the whole copycat thing...people always have similar dresses at prom/formals and whatnot, it really is inevitable. As lil_pinkbunnie said, imitation is the best form of flattery! _________________

i recently bought this hollister dress:
i really like the dress, but it's strapless and i think it's too revealing to just wear alone. i tried pairing with a cardigan, but it looked really odd. then i tried wearing it with my black sweater (as shown).... does it look strange? it's pretty thick and has a hood too =/. and if it does look okay, is it too dressy for school?

EDIT: sorry for the huge pics |

^It looks good with the black sweater! And no i don't think it's too dressy for school. Just make sure to wear flat shoes or maybe flip flops even.
If you're scared of the dress looking too revealing, you could also try layering a white beater underneath the dress or even a plain white fitted tee (preferably v-neck).
And btw, the dress is really cute = ) _________________

xlovely44x: The dress is super cute! I think it also looks fine with the sweater you posted, and I think a cardigan would look nice with it too (is it a fitted cardigan?) If you want to keep it casual, flat shoes are best, either flats or flip flops like lil_pinkbunnie said. _________________

| xlovely44x - I don't think the dress looks great with the sweater. I would try to find something else to wear it with. But I don't think it's too dressy for school. |

xlovely44x: I love that dress, its adorable! I think the sweater looks ok with it, but a shorter one might look better. Oh and I think its fine for school, I wear dresses to school all the time. _________________

@xlovely44x: Like the others said, maybe try a t-shirt or tank underneath. I don't love that sweater with it, I think it's a little heavy for a summer dress. Have you tried a cropped cardigan or jacket? I also think a belt would look really great with that dress, it'd be a great way to add some detail. It's a pretty dress, I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of it! _________________

What do you think of this tiered dress. It's orange btw (cause the pic doesn't really justify it).

^^ Agree with pinkyswear. Either look good or they dont.
Ive always seemed to think they look better on flatter chested people, only because it doesnt take away from the tiers of the dress, if you know what i mean ahha. _________________

Lil_pinkbunnie--The dress is okay, but I usually like tiered dresses in white. If it looks good on you get though! _________________

This dress is very pretty and perfect for the sunny days. It reminds me the look of a flapper with an actual twist ^^ !
I like it in orange, but I think I would buy it in grey. It would fit more with my wardrobe and it would be less flashy. It depends of what you are looking for. Do you want a more versatile dress or one that is very trendy for the summer ? |

lil_pinkbunnie - I totally agree go with the grey, I will look so nice and you will probably be able to wear it with more things than the orange! _________________ Formerly lil_sweetiepoo on old fashion18.com

Definitely agree with most people on the grey. Much more versatile and muted enough for a really simple, understated look, I think orange is harder to work with and can't really be toned down (if you get what I mean) - you could dress up grey with accessories, but orange will always be orange and bright! _________________

Thanks so much everyone! I'm gonna go and try it on first and if it looks good, I think i'll get in grey. The thing is though, I actually already have a lot of grey clothes and a grey dress already, that's why I'm unsure. The orange DOES really look good in person. But like you guys said, it's very bright and cannot really be toned down. _________________
