I realized that I think I left my ipod in France. Oh well, if I didn't notice by now, I guess I deserve to have it lost.

It's not like it was mint condition anyway.

^^can't you get fined for pulling the alarm?

downside was working all day, everyone else left early except for a few of us, it was inventory day but we were open. but not that bad of a day!

Work wasn't that exciting today. Not bad, just not as nice as I hoped.

My friend died today of cystic fibrosis.
I can't believe she's gone.
She was one of the most special people I know.

This girl pisses me off so much. Ugh. So tomorrow is my best friend's birthday, and my other really close friend and I made a locker poster for her and she's going to put it up tomorrow before we get to school since I carpool with the birthday girl. She's not having a birthday party or doing anything special tomorrow, but now I find out that this girl (from earlier) is throwing a surprise party for her on Friday at a different person's house. What the heck? And there's a note on the invitation that says to bring her $5 so we can pool our money together and buy her a "decent gift" I've already planned out what I'm getting her, and both items come out tomorrow, on her birthday, so I was going to get it for her but now I don't think I can because of this surprise party. Which by the way is disguised as a "STUDY PARTY" ughh man I hate this girl she annoys me so much. At the very least she could have consulted me beforehand. As well, on Friday night, my best friend was supposed to come over for a sleepover as we PLANNED, very much in advance, to watch a very certain movie and we also have other things planned. All ruined now.

What a horrible day...

I thought I had an English 20-1 exam at 12 so I got to school at 11:30, wait around for a bit and sit with my friend.

I ask her, "What are you studying?"
"Social" she says "What exam are you writing?" she asks me
"English"
"Wasn't English at 9Surprised0?"

At that moment I went to the office to check the exam schedule and indeed,

I MISSED MY EXAM. MISSED IT. WASN'T THERE. OVER.

I returned and burst out sobbing in the middle of the student centre... everyone was staring.

So she took me to the guidance office and I cried to a counselor, while I was crying like a freaking idiot the guy I used to like is standing there STARING AT ME SOBBING AND MAKEUP RUNNING AND ALL THAT JAZZ...

They called my teacher and since I'm her top student she said I could write it right away so I wrote it on time constraints and got a disappointing 79% on the multiple choice portion.

She wasn't mad or anything, kind of sympathetic.

But I couldn't concentrate on my test because:
a) I was still extremely stressed from my near heart attack
b) Everyone saw me have a nervous break down in the middle of the student center (where everyone just so happens to hang out... there were at least 100 witnesses to this)
c) Ex guy interest and his new girl interest saw me look like a complete mess
d) I look like total crap right now

^ AW HUUUGS!
that was very nice of your teacher to let you write it, i know a lot of teachers wouldn't have let their students rewrite it because its a provincial/government thing.

and you shouldn't worry bout what others think!! you don't need them Happy

@ electricpearls: You basically just lived my nightmare. I remember one time my friends called me and pretended I missed my exams and I totally freaked out, but then I checked and then they laughed at me. Not funny!

But at least you got to write it, even if you only got 79%. At Churchill they'd never let a student rewrite a missed exam unless someone died or something. And the exam's only worth like 25% or something right? Since you're the top student, you'll still have a decent mark, so feel better!

^Yeah it was honestly the scariest moment of my life...
Scarier than the one time I stopped breathing or the multitude of times I've injured myself or anything... LOL.

But everyone was like comforting me, "Don't worry, you will be able to rewrite it" Still... I was freaking out to no avail!!!

Greenism, Churchill is full of geniuses (DARN YOUR SCHOOL, hehe, all my youth councils are FULL to the brim of Western/Churchill/the occasional Dief kid). I'm sure none of them would miss an exam...

At Crescent I'm like their poster child for success so I guess that's why they let me write it...

also because I was a mess. Laughing

AU REVOIR 91...

IT WAS NICE KNOWING YOU FOR THE SHORT MOMENT YOU LASTED.

Though the exam is really only 12.5% because the other 12.5% is for the written. *gulps*

Trying to cover phones at reception, and I'm not very good at it. Besides that, I have a major headache, my eyes are a little blood shot, and I'm tired and hungry. After work I have another interview to go to, perfection. To a gloomy day in Vancouver.

Had my science 10 final this morning and I'm thinking I didn't do too well! Argh and I hate how we missed a whole unit completely and only covered the first section of physics. That's terrible because I'm taking Physics 20 next year! How am I going to understand anything? Tomorrow is my French final and then Friday is my English PAT. urrrrrgh

Failed my Road test today, I made 1 stupid mistake at the end of the test....the instructor kept telling me how well I was doing...my turns and mirror checks, even my parallel parking were excellent (according to her) then at the very end I forgot to signal when she asked me to pull over to the side of the road......Honestly I thinks its really fucking stupid that I failed over such a small thing, for fucks sake I did everything else perfect and I signaled on every other turn I had and I failed over something so insignificant? there wasn't even anyone behind me...... Oh well now I have to wait till July 24th.....at least I know what to practice now. But despite this big letdown my mom was very comforting after so the day wasn't to bad.

^^From what I've heard the Science 10 stuff doesn't help much for Physics 20... I took Science 10 Honours last year and it didn't really help for anything, Bio-wise (I took regular stream Bio, finished it already), and it didn't do much to help for Chemistry anyway (it related to like the first few weeks, that's it).

Physics is very math/formula intensive from what I've heard so just practice and you should do fine. Though at my school, everyone's bombing Physics 20 (eek), but I'm sure if you work hard you'll do just great! Happy

so i was having a great day today.
then i decided to complete my osap (provincial student loan) application. i saw my estimate appear on the screen after clicking submit. i didn't know what to think or say for several minutes afterwards.
it's way less than i anticipated. it's not even enough to cover tuition.
my parents don't have an RESP for me. my dad will help out a little. the rest is up to me. and what i have right now is not enough.
i guess i'm not having a summer 'break' this year. 40 hour work weeks until uni starts.

^^^Thanks that's good to hear actually! Everyone in my class was pretty worried and we didn't have a really great teacher, she totally messed us up for a lot of things and gave us a lot of wrong answers. (She blamed a lot of things on being dyslexic, but we didn't really buy it most of the time...) Next year I'm taking Physics regular because in grade 11 I want to take Biology 20IB and Chemistry 20IB. I really do hope that the curriculum covered in Science 10 isn't too important in those courses, because we didn't really cover each topic thoroughly.

^Well for me, I took Chem 20 AP this semester and I took Science 10 Honours way, way back in first semester grade 10 (so almost two years ago), and I didn't remember anything. They reviewed stuff, which was pretty easy.

I barely remembered the Bio portion of Science 10 and I ended up with 90 in Bio 20 and 30 so I managed Happy

Aw, that makes me so sad. It makes me think back to this guy I knew who I lost. Those really insignificant things that you don't think much of can mean so much afterwards. Be strooong!

^^^Haha, you made me feel so much better! I'm taking Physics in my second semester next year and then if I take Chem and Bio in grade 11 I doubt I will remember any Sci 10 stuff since I would've learned it like 2 years before. So that's good that the concepts will be reviewed.

^I'd say you're fine going in without any knowledge of physics...I don't really understand the names of your courses (they're different from Ontario) but anyway I had academic/ap science in grade 10 and then i went into grade 11 university physics...needless to say it was hard but do able, most people found it hard. it depends on the teacher though because some people from other schools say it's a breeze!

downside today was that 4 people backed out of our relay for life team, and 1 more person is unable to go because of them (they were her transportation). so thus, we have a 5 person team to walk the track all night. whatever, we can do it!

the visitation for my friend was today. it was so hard seeing her like that, she was so full of life. i feel terrible for her family, she had a large one too. and everyone from Guides and baseball was there, every team in the city. teachers, bus drivers, her school, her close friends. she's in a better place now, God sure got a beautiful angel.

^I do have a tiny bit of background in physics, but I guess I'm not going to worry about it too much now. Well here in Alberta, in grade 10 you have just Science 10 which is bio/chem/physics and another unit, and there are honours/pre-IB courses but I didn't get the option at my school. Grade 11 and 12 there are Science 20 and Science 30 courses, which are again combination of all 3 sciences, but there are Bio 20 and 30, Chem 20 and 30 and Physics 20 and 30 courses. And there are IB courses for them as well (International Baccalaureate). And again, some schools have honours programs/courses.. but anyway, yeah.

Aw, RIP.

Ok so I'm very nervous and worried right now.......my mom was suppose to go help my dad paint the our new house that he is building, she was suppose to go see him after she was done work (around 3-4pm) well she never showed up. My dad has called me three times and she still hasn't come home or called me. She called me while she was at work and that was it (she doesn't have a cell) now I'm freaking out and hoping she is ok.......I mean I understand an hour late......but 4 or 5 hours.....I hope she is ok.....Sad Neutral
