Heey,

I was going around The Telly, and I realized (gasp) that there wasn't a 90210 thread!!!

I love this show, what do you guys think of it so far?

I noticed that a week or so ago when I was going to share something I thought about the show, but then didn't see a thread. And the I just didn't feel like watching it.

I'm the odd one out. I think the show is waaaayy too overdramatic. I mean it's like the fourth episode and someone's already died! They're gonna run out of ideas so fast. Plus Shenae Grimes is not exactly the best actor...

I watched the beginning of the first episode. Very unrealistic. Okay, no school would let the drama department put on Spring Awakening. I'm sorry, they just wouldn't.

^I agree with you. I watched the first few episodes and I'm not a fan of this show.

Gossip Girl is a guilty pleasure, with much better clothes/fashion sense and storyline AND especially acting.

^I like Degrassi, too! It's kind of dumb, but you know, whatevs. 90210 does have that same sort of wholesome fell though.

I think I just came to an epiphany! Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls, OC, and all those other (sometimes) great shows with high school peeps don't feel...high school. They don't focus around the different cliques hanging around their lockers or detention slips or cafeteria trays or any real school fuctions (that are just dumb and pointless). They use the high school for character development and that's it. That's all there is to it. 90210 is just too........what I used to live with plus unrealism. And I hated high school. People who read my posts during those years would know how much I hated high school. I don't want to watch it on tv. I know it's there, that's good enough for me.

Oh, on a side note, I noticed my car had 90210 miles on it. I wish I too a picture.

Haha I don't like 90210 either. It's kind of boring in my opinion, actually...I think I feel that way maybe because of Gossip Girl, since in almost every episode something dramatic happens.

Although I'm starting to stop watching Gossip Girl too! Sigh

I am not sure I like 90210. Though, the only episode I watched contained Beat Control by Tilly and the Wall which definitely won it some points.
