haha thanks you guys!
ive wanted them for sooo long, theyre the stevie fit.
the last size at holtrenfew - which was my size, was sold
and they said they werent getting anymore.
imagine my excitement when i went in for some rocks, and i seen them
i fell in love all over again and those jeans were SOLD.
i can safely say im addicted, cause next paycheck im going back for those
r&r's i had my eyes on.

but..for those of you that own premium denim, have you noticed a huge difference in the fitting compared to regular jeans?
cause i wore my american eagle jeans the day before i got my TR's and when i bent over it was so uncomfortable and i felt like my bum was going to pop out. but i got the TR's and i wore them for a whole day and i swear i could like..so cartwheels in them and not have to worry about a thing. they were much higher in the back and perfect in the front.

iduno, maybe its jsut me. =P

^ yay congrats, and yes i do notice i difference. normally the quality is a lot better, a better fit in general.

Cant really say the same about r&r's. so many things wrong with them, or maybe ive just had bad expierences.

Yay!

Trust me, you'll never want to go back to normal jeans again. I have like ten pairs of Hollister/A&F/AE/other brands of jeans that I refuse to even touch now. Ha ha.

^I call second dibbs!

I'm yet to own a pair of premium denim. I haven't even tried them on. I'm not sure where sells them/I'm cheap/too lazy to find the stores.

electricpearls: I know what you mean. I have those jeans sitting around, usually for beating around at home. I sometimes wear my A&F's (rarely) if I am feeling in an Abercrombie sort of mood LOL.

Ahh, I remember buying my first pair of Citizens. Pure love. The quality is just so much better, and they just feel so much better. For your next pair, def. try Citizens of Humanity. If you love TR's you'll love Citizens. Congrats!

I have recently noticed i don't really like my R&R's any more. They are nice quality and all, just compared to some other brands, they don't live up for me. And their sizing is clearly messed up.

^ Yeah. I have heard so many bad things about them that I'm not gonna bother buying a pair. If you're paying a lot for a pair of jeans you HAVE to buy ones that last, at least that's the way I see it!

omg! why? whats wrong with R&R's?!
=O im so glad i didnt get a pair!
the only thing i heard was that they rip, but because alot of people
have complained, its been fixed, so the denim is thicker.
i just wanted a fancier pair of jeans for going out at night and stuff.
i didnt mind the fit, the 31 was a little tight on the thighs, compared to the waist, which was so big i could fit my hand down my pants easily.
but i was told i could get that altered.
but i want to know what else is wrong with them!
they were $210.
if i can be convinced that theyre really that bad, then thats a $210 thats staying in my wallet!

Ugh, exactly! R&Rs just aren't up to the quality level Citizens/Sevens/TR are up to.

I have four pairs of Citizens now and I think I over wear each and every pair... they are truly the loves of my life. I think its great too because at my school everyone is in some stupid R&R frenzy and everyone wears them, but I feel almost original in my Citizens in a way... even though they're still popular too.

I'd rather spend $200 on a quality pair of jeans than on a pair that will stretch, be seen everywhere and rip easily (which is what my only pair of Rocks did, btw).

^Oh I totally agree. R&R's are just so overplayed, everyone has them, but I don't see why. They aren't comfy, they stretch so much, and yes, they tend to rip, and the zippers get screwed up.

^LOL... i've experimented with half my old pairs... let's just say not many of them look great as cutoffs (with the exception of one).

a lot of my old ones are a 29 though from when i weighed more so i think you're all too skinny to fit in them...

and if you're a 29 i'll gladly give them away! lol.

I'm still considering getting a pair of Citizens. I might end up getting them online since I don't know how many options I have here.
How does the sizing of Citizens compare to the sizings of say, Garage?

^Your best bet would be to find a pair of Citizens at a store and try them on.

Designer sizing is usually different than regular apparel sizing.

Or, you could take your measurements and use a size chart online. Though I've done that and I haven't met the accuracy I've desired. Try them on in store and it should work though Happy

Shanti: I'm a 27 now too! Gosh darn it... gain some weight and I'll give you my jeans :P Or maybe I'll gain some weight and you can have my citizens (which are 27). Ha ha... maybe not.

I'm thinking about switching over to designer.
I have so much trouble finding jeans that can fit properly.
when I stopped by Nordstrom a while back, I tried on a pair of Citizens' that were just... absolute heaven.
Then just.. a few days back, I went to ae, to see if I could finally fit a size zero. They would only fit at the hips. But you know that feeling when you know they're going to stretch out during the day, and then become loose? I had that feeling. Plus, the back pockets made my butt look puny.

thats because american eagle just sucks all around.
no offence to anyone that loves ae though.
i like it too, but thier pants are total crap.
the only reason i fit a size 10 is because it has elastic in it and it stretches out immensely.
otherwise, size 10 doesnt zip up and size 12 falls off my bum.
i love their styles, but i think they should change their sizing cause im not the only one with that problem.

I use to love AE jeans. They fit me fine and I didn't have to hem. I bought a pair of R&R last year on a whim. They were okay, nothing life changing. Then, on another whim, I bought a pair of CoH. Oh my god. I'm never going back. I use to be the type of person that would think purchasing a $200+ pair of jeans was a complete waste of money, but now I'm more than willing to throw that money down like it's nothing. I've bought another pair CoH since (both I got from Aritzia) and they're just heaven. The main thing for me with them is that they're SO comfortable. I thought AE jeans were fine before, but they're nothing compared to my CoH jeans. I pretty much live in those jeans.

AE jeans are alright, I think their quality has definitely gone downhill though. I used to wear AE jeans when I was like in grade 8-10, and back then they weren't that bad. But now I can definitely feel the denim is of worse quality =/ I think the best lower to mid range priced jeans would be Mavi and A&F.

Citizens of humanity have been getting such a good rep! i think ill have to try them.
i dont really find them that appealing though..i dont like the back pocket design.
do they ever have them with plain pockets? or ones that are less noticable?

A lot of them on Revolve don't really have the "h" highlighted very well.

^^ Yeah, they have the h on it. But imo its really not that noticeable. Theres only a couple styles they have with the contrast stiching, most of them are only a shade darker.

^Yeah.

Yeah, I am getting rid of ALL of my R&r's, except for my Victoria Beckham ones. They just piss me off now.

I agree with the AE jeans. They used to be good a few years ago, now they are horrible. I was going to get a pair since I saw them for only 20$, which is an awesome deal. But I tried them on and HATED them. They are really stiff too. I couldn't even buy them for 20$, thats how much i disliked them.

so basically, R&R's arent that great because they stretch out alot?
and the sizing is weird..?
because i want to be sure i know everything before i buy them.
obviously the sales lady wont tell me. =P

Yeah I've retired my solitary pair of R&Rs too.

Though I'm quite depressed at the moment because my favourite and most worn pair of black Citizens avas are getting quite distressed in the crotch region... they are going to get holes and it's rather unfortunate.

so whats all the hype on citizens now?
im on a jean ban, but everybody's so in love with them i want some now! =[

i dont hate r&r.
from waht ive noticed the thinner ones stretch out a lot, and are probably the ones prone to rips, whereas the thicker ones don't stretch at ALL, and are a little stiff. (i wouldn't know if they fit like a glove, mine are a bit tight =[)
