downloading songs

Does anyone know a way to download songs free for your ipod. I have tried limewire but I heard that as soon as you download it they can read all of your files and steal stuff so it isnt very safe. Does anyone have any other options?

I've been using Limewire for 2 years now and I haven't had any problems.

I used to use Limewire, but filesharing programs like that started to flood my computer with bugs so now I use Azureus (which is a BitTorrent program) or get it off a music community.

also typing in the name of the song and artist and the words "download" and "mp3" into google sometimes works.

thanks for the help everyone! So i downloaded azureus, but im not sure how to get the audio from it to itunes so that i can download it to my ipod. Anyone know how?
