So in my younger teen years i had quite a bit of acne, but lately, my acne has been under control. I started using aveeno skincare line and loove it. (I've tried everything. yes, even proactive)...
But my skin tone is just extremely uneven, red around my nose, acne scars on my chin and forehead, circles under my eyes, and you can see veins some places on my cheeks and around my mouth.. not pretty, i know!
and i never never used to year ANY concealer or foundation or anything, and now i cant leave the house without it!!
anyway, so my question is, is there a way for me to even out my skin tone without switching skin care lines??
I'm thinking about facial masks...
Has anybody tried a good one that has made a difference?? or could recommend anything else??
I'd love to feel comfortable leaving the house without makeup again!!!
EDIT: I've also begun to exfoliate about twice a week, but i dont know if that would make a difference. _________________

umm well i'm not sure but i'm thinking one of those concealers that match to all skin tones? like i think there is one from almay? maybe it would match to all areas that are different???? _________________

i have like the exact situation as u almost.. i still hav occasional flare ups but my skin tone seems soo uneven and i wanna go without makeup someday soon, especially w/ summer coming soon.
i personally have acne perscription which thinnens ur skin and it exfoliates a bit faster, it helps a bit with the scars so u might wanna get something with glycolic acid or smthn along those lines.. helps even out pores, and skin tone (just make sure on the label is says this stuff)..
i would also say scrubs, and masks.. i love those life brand masks shoppers has they're like 2.99 but often on sale for 1.50... and they have soo many good ones: purifying, exfoliating, microdermabrasion, deep cleansing, u name it. they're not obviously gonna dramatically change your skin tone but i see an improvement every time i use it...
and as for scars.. my skin was rly dry the other week so i put on a vaseline mask (they claim not to clog pores) and aside from it totally curing the dryness, i noticed the scars wernt as visible after.. and ive heard before i think vitamin e helps with fading scars.
and last but not least i take omega 3 vitamins, they're supposed to help with skin cell circulation as well as other good stuff, and apparentli most ppl never get it in their diets.
and drink tons of water!.. everytime i do this i see an improvement but i tend to get lazy/stressed and get back to where i started
hope this helps! |
