FASHION18.COM Message Board Community Rules

Here at FASHION18.com we are dedicated to providing a safe, polite community area where teens can openly discuss style and beauty trends, dish on celebrity gossip, vent about the challenges of teen life, form new friendships, and share their hopes, dreams and aspirations. As with any internet community there are a few basic rules that must be followed to ensure that your FASHION18.com online community experience is a safe and good one.
Safety First
Here is a brief list of some of the things you should do in order to protect yourself and your privacy when using our message boards and other services:
DO NOT give out information about yourself like your last name, age, phone number, or where you live etc. You can never be sure exactly who you are talking to online, even if you have been trading messages with them for a long while. Be leery of people who ask you for too much information. If someone is starting a conversation or thread that makes you uncomfortable or that you think is inappropriate, please let us know at boardabuse@fashion18.com.
DO NOT give out your password to anyone. We here at FASHION18.com will never ask you for your password, so don't be fooled by someone claiming to be a moderator.
NEVER in any circumstance, arrange to meet someone you've talked to online through this, or any other message board community, without
Making sure that your parents and/or guardians are 100% aware of your actions, and know when and where you are meeting
Bringing someone along with you
Meeting in a public place during the daytime
Choose a username carefully. Do not use names that are offensive, suggest illegal activities or that are meant to imitate other users. Any such names will be blocked from posting on our message boards.

Our message boards are moderated on a regular basis and are strictly governed by a set of community rules. By posting on our message boards, you are in agreement that you accept our rules as part of FASHION18.com's terms and conditions.

Don't flame someone for his or her opinions. We all think differently and may not agree with others opinions. If you disagree with someone, please disagree nicely. DO NOT get personal with someone regarding an opinion that you may not agree with. If you do, your posts WILL be deleted. Name-calling and insulting of other posters is not allowed. Please remember in your replies to follow the golden rule of posting: If you wouldn't say it to them in person, don't say it here!
Racial or ethnic slurs, sexism, slander and bad/offensive language will not be tolerated. FASHION18.com automatically edits out most objectionable language, but some words may need to be deleted manually. If you see language or read a post that you consider personally offensive, please report it to boardabuse@fashion18.com. Please everyone, let's work together to keep it clean and friendly!
Do not post, hyperlink or up upload illegal content. This includes, but is not limited to:
Material concerned with pornography and strongly sexually suggestive material
Material concerned with illegal drugs and drug use
Material concerned with committing crimes or making weapons or explosives
Pirated software, music, or other media, including modern commercial game emulation, file sharing networks and ways of circumventing copy protection. Discussing the implications, ethics and other theoretical aspects of these subjects is acceptable, but promoting, advocating or providing specific details is not.
Voicing your grievances on the message board itself is ill advised. If there is an instance where a member is causing problems or doing something inappropriate on topic or post, please do not respond to the post. This just bumps it back up to the top of the board and draws more attention to it. Instead, please email us at boardabuse@fashion18.com and we will quickly do what we can to resolve the matter at hand.
Double logins (multiple accounts) are prohibited.
No advertising, spamming or scams. Sharing your website with the other forum dwellers is something reserved for people who become part of the community, this is not a public noticeboard for you to advertise on. This includes, but is not limited to:
Pyramid and other MLM schemes, referral programs and money scams
Passing through the board to advertise your service, event, contest, or competition - even if your link seems to correspond to the theme of the message board
Not following the Community Rules in the Message Board Area will result in your posts being removed; and further offenses will result in your posting privileges being revoked.
