|
|
So I looking for a new job, and I was wondering what would be appropriate attire for dropping off resumes.
For example say I was dropping off a resume at American Eagle. Should I wear AE-style clothes, or more dressy business casual clothes?
Thoughts? Opinions?
Thanks in advanced =) |

I voted "Dress for success", because I do think you should put in a noticeable amount of effort. That said, you don't need to wear a full suit or anything. I would dress one notch up from what you would normally wear working. _________________

| Definitely dress for success since it shows that you care about getting the job so you dressed up instead of just wearing an outfit you could normally be wearing. Remember, always dress more formal when in doubt. |

I was wearing something semi-formal when I went dropping off resumes. It shows your potential employer that you're willing to put a bit of effort into what you're trying to do. It looks a little more "professional" (even though the workplace that you're trying to apply to isn't).
That said, you don't have to go semi-formal like I did. In fact, when I went to apply to AE, I wore my regular clothes (because I was in-between classes). |
