^if its any condolance i never understood shakespeare either, romeo and juliet ughhh..macbeth was better to understand, othello was impossible and then you know what? this year i read hamlet and i understood it so well! my english teacher said its because its way less "style-y" than the others. you should try hamlet, its so good.

right now im reading ishmael by daniel quinn

^^just try to read like there wisn't any breaks in the sentences. And use iambic pentameter (where everyother sylablle is stressed) At first say it outloud and over do the iambic pentamenter. Then, later on, it will come easier and naturally.

There was a handout I had from ninth grade that told us all the slang. The only ones I can really remember is:
"For" means "against". Like when Tybalt (R.I.P. my cat, Tybalt...) says to Romeo "I am for you", he really is saying "I am against you."
"Against" means "for" (like above)
"Thrice" means three times
"Ho!" means "Hey!" (not the greeting) or "Yo!" (agian not the greeting) or "Oh!" or "Ah!" or anyother exclamation you can think of.

And I'm drawing a blank.

1984- Mr. Orwell.

Finished the GG prequel. It is reallly sad, considering it was the last book reading about Blair, Nate, and Serena. I really liked reading about them, and I have a feeling the new books will be stupid.

Great Gatsby...read it before, but it's one of my favorites. I love F Scott. Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda (even though she’s a raging alcoholic) he style is amazing.
