Are they indented and red, like the skin is ripped through, or just bruising?

If they are red, like a scratch would be, I wouldn't recommend putting makeup over it because it may get infected Confused

It it's just bruising, maybe use foundation, followed by concealer and then powder to make it really stay. You could always go to the bathroom every so often to reapply.

Edit: Oh! And for the next few days, keep it moisturised with a Vitamin E cream, so that it can start to dissappear

I have some scars on my legs too, from random injuries from sports. It's just dark pigmentation, like yours.
For a wedding where I wore a short dress, I just used Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation [nothing too pricey, since .. I mean it's going on your legs, I wasn't too worried about breaking out or something]. It was cheap-ish, easy to blend, and has no irritating glitter or extra things in it that annoy me. Plus it was VERY pigmented.
I think finding the right shade is the most important though .. I like the stuff I had because it was the perfect shade.
If you're worried about it fading, just put powder over it later to keep it on for longer.

And yeah, vitamin E is your friend .. either get a cream or they actually have some creams specifically for getting rid of scars [that have vitamin E as an ingredient, along with other things].

if it's in that short a period of time .. then don't bother =S lol it's going to take a while to work.

if you go to shoppers, they'll have testers. THEY WILL BE EXTREMELY DIGUSTING AND UNSANITARY though .. but if it's on your leg then i don't think it's too big of a deal. i'd just be MASSIVELY creeped out if i ever put those testers on my face. but your leg .. you can wash that later easily anyway, haha.
anyway check that the shade matches .. and check if your skin is cool-toned or warm-toned and get a shade that matches that too. if you use a tester, then go see how it looks in different lighting [like for a wedding you might want to see how it looks outside in natural lighting] before getting it.

if you go to a makeup counter, you can ask them for help [like MAC has a face and body foundation-type dealy], and if they find you a perfect shade, ask for a sample, and use the sample to help you find a proper shade in the drugstore. just don't tell them it's for a wedding or a one-time occasion or else they won't give you a sample since you could easily use that sample for the one day and never have to buy the product, lol.

well the wedding's over now, sadly but i managed to get through the day okay. started off the morning mostly just moisturizing and then i used a little cover up that my aunt gave me it blended okay, but it wasnt the exact match. i didnt think anyone would really look at my legs so its okay. plus most of my dress covered up the scars so i guess its okay. thanks alot girls for the tips ! i'll be sure to try the vitamin E to make the scars go away !

The best stuff for just covering scars/birthmarks not for healing them is called Dermablend. I have a birth mark on my face and I use that you cannot tell whatsoever. I do believe you have to buy it through a dermatologist though and its a bit expensive, but it will last a long time and is worth it if you are self conscious about any scarring or marks.

You should definitely try the dermablend then, but if you want something cheaper then perhaps you should try that stuff you spray on your legs to make them look even so you dont have to wear nylons. Sally Hansen makes one. It could work and you would only be out a few bucks if it doesnt.
