|
|
Hey guys! I was just wondering what your workout plan is like, just cause I want some new ideas. Right now, I'm working with a personal trainer - one of my best friend's uncles is a personal trainer so we work out with him and it's pretty neat cause he gives us excellent training although it's super hard (blah). When I work out with my trainer, I usually do:
- 15 mins cardio on bike
- 3 sets of one minute mirror exercises (basically sprints between cones...I face my trainer and he does the sprints, choosing which cone to sprint to and I follow him)
- 3 sets of 10 reps of resistance exercise on ball (I lie with my back on an exercise ball with my arms up, kind of like a reverse push up and I hold hands with my trainer and he pushes down and I have to push him up)
- 3 sets of 10 reps of balance-ball exercises (I stand with a leg extended propped up on a ball, I bend over to touch the ground moving the ball back) for each leg
- 3 sets of 15 bicep curls with over-head extension
- 3 sets of 15 reps squats with weights
- 15 mins cooldown on bike
But when I work out at home I usually do a mix of:
- 300 rotations on skip rope for cardio or 15 mins of jumping jacks
- 3 x 15 squats with weights
- 3 x 15 lunges with weights
- 2 x 15 back extensions
- 3 x 15 pushups
- 3 x 15 leg raises
- 4 x 25 cruches, or 4 x 25 bicycle crunches
- 4 x 25 calf raises
Sometimes I get really bored doing workouts at home though =/ What do you guys do? |

Hey, thanks you gave me some great ideas.
I do nothing lol! It's horrible, although I am active with rugby, baseball, and swimming.
Actually, here's my gym routine. I spend a long time there when I do go.
-30 minutes of bike.
-30 minutes of weight training (arms, legs, etc.)
-15 minutes jogging/running on the treadmill.
-30 minutes weight training (not entirely necessary to do again).
OR
-swimming lanes
-finish it off with some crunches and pushups, and stretching _________________

my gym routine.
20 minutes arc trainer
10 minutes stationary bike
200 crunches on abs
Strength training
Run 3 miles on treadmill (30 minutes including cooldown)
End with another 10 minutes on arc trainer
I usually burn about 750 calories in the hour and a half that I'm there. _________________

Since JULY is my BASKETBALL break, and I practically did nothing.
I have to get myself back in shape for August when I start with my practices again. But since I had surgery, and I'm not supposed to run or anything, I'll start my exercises in a week.
I'll do: 100 sit-ups. (twice x50.) half a minute/minute break.
30 leg lifting WORKOUT. (it's when you lie on your back, and put your hands behind your back, then you lift your legs up and down but you're not supposed to touch the floor.) it's also for your abs.
I'll be running about 2km.
Anddddd, push-ups, so about 50 push-ups per day.
And that's about it. _________________

i usually do
20 min cardio
-holding two 5 pound weights squat down, then stand up and raise arms over head (rep 20 times)
-legs apart, holding weight with both hands infront of you squat down, then slowly raise back up (rep15)
-one leg resting back on a chair behind me, the other straight. Holding a weight in one hand, bend down with the knee not on the chair and then raise arm with weight to chest. (rep 10)
-chair behind me, place both hands on the seat of the chair (knuckles forward) lower butt to the floor until arms are at 90 degree angle (rep 20)
-balance on one leg, holding body parallel to the floor with a weight in one hand. while balancing pull your arm up to your rips (10 rep per side)
-10 push ups (3 rep) _________________

I've started to do cardio 5/7 days, and doing interval training 2-3 days out of those five...and I do some kind of strength training every two days. Plus I do the grind like every week now! Whew. I'm shaking up my cardio routine a bit though, instead of running all the time I usually swim once and bike once, run 3 days, which is nice |
