Hi.
I know that you should abstain from doing something that makes you uncomfortable, yada yada, but I can't help but feel rude when there's a round of tequila shots and everyone else takes one except for me.
They were nice enough to buy me one, but I'm too scared of taking it.
Mostly cuz I see their facial expressions after they take the shot and it looks like it must taste like death.
I'm not a heavy drinker and I usually stick to my bitch drinks lol. But for those of you who have tried it,

what does tequila taste like?
And what does it feel like when it goes down your system?

I don't want to rely on my friends' answers cuz all they really say is "you gotta try it yourself." Rolling Eyes

i like it. at least more than vodka, cause that's death for me.
i dont remember too well, but im pretty sure its easier going down than vodka.

advice: take the lime and skip the salt. the lime makes it a loot better. the salt, maybe im doing it wrong, but it just tatses liek salt, soo =\

harder to go down than rum though. and all those creamy spirits.

Hmm I've only had a night or 2 that involved tequilla. The one night I took about 4 shots and I wasn't horribly grossed out, and that was my first time trying tequilla.
I can't really remember the taste, but I know I didn't like it all that much. I want to say it tastes bitter? Also, I've never used salt like some people do, just a lemon/lime. Also, it's pretty warm when it goes down.

Who cares what it tastes like? I've never had tequila, but to me no one takes a shot for pleasure, it's for the alcohol. Shots are never fun.... but the aftermath is.

^Lol actually, I do taste them, that's why I always get Polar Ice or Bazooka Joes. I'm not very experienced with them.

Thanks for sharing girls. It's more comforting than hearing everyone complain how awful they taste. Icon_XP

Considering we're going to a club with the name Tequila in it, I guess it'll be inevitable haha.

Tequilla kills me. Not necessarly the taste...but what occurs once its in my system..

Ive only had a shot, and i felt like ripping my neck off it was burning haha
i dont know if you know what i mean, but when you drink something and your like "oh that went down the wrong tube", yeah thats what it feels like.

Angela... you should have seen me the first time I ever had vodka... it was like three years ago and it was mixed with kool-aid or something and all I remember was screaming... my throat is burning, my throat is burning, and everyone laughing at me because I was, and still am a lightweight... I like my girly drinks just fine.

Blech, I'm not a fan of tequila. I've had it about twice but I've always skipped the salt... just had it with lime, which makes it a bit better.

its kind of weird. stick to the limee =)

if its too strong, mix it with OJ?

tequila is... bleh. I only took a tiny sip of it. haven't had any since

absolut.. ugh. I tried the beach and it just burned.

I tried an Arnold before. it's part lemonade/ice tea/vodka. named after some golfer. very excellent.

is it just me, or does beer really have to make you pee?

Okay, so I tried it last night for the first time, except they mixed it with an energy drink for me (I don't know if that's too good for ya...) and I really didn't like it. It made me gag.

At least now I have an IDEA of what it tastes like...

When I said Polar Ice, I'm talking about the mixed shot kind lol. It's mint-choco.
I love Malibu banana but I have it too often in comparison to anything else... I like to experiment. Icon_XP

Malibu coconut tastes like freakin' nail polish or something. It's so gross.
^Honestly, I hear a lot of people say that Corona is one of the best beers, but I don't think it's amazing. Sure, it tastes better than Budweiser imo... but I still prefer Coors Light because I don't even like beer to begin with.
I've only tried Absolut mixed with 7-Up and I can't tell the difference between that and Smirnoff, which is what I used to have often.

Vodka and cranberry juice is pretty good. But my favourite has to be gin and tonic! mmm. I also looove Bailey's. At Steamworks they have a drink called the Jolly Rancher (it's not actually a drink, it's like a mixed shot) and it's absolutely delicious and doesn't taste like hard liquor at all!

lets be frank, all hard liquor is really gross. and it is gross when its going down your throat. tequila in particular..ive had them with the salt and the lemon and they werent awful..but then again i was already drunk. lol. otherwise, ive never tried it when i was fully sober..you know youre drunk when hard liquor starts to taste like water...lol

yeah it tastes pretty horrible, but i've become pretty adjusted to it.
smirnoff triple distilled is my fav.. i really love grey goose though, but thats like $40 a bottle.
i don't get hangovers from vodka. i've killed half a bottle and then gone straight to work the next morning, feeling fine.
i had finlandia (straight out the bottle... way too drunk that night) and it was such shit.
absolut is fine.. not one of my favs but not bad.
the worst vodka has to be iceberg.. i dont understand that shit. canadian companies should stick to beer/wine/crown royal.
skyy is pretty awful too. morning after prom this guy comes into our room (k it wasnt "our" room, it was actually his he didnt sleep there the whole night and me and 3 friends just crashed it) with a bottle of skyy and passes it to me, while i was still half asleep at like 8 am.. tells me to drink it. kinda random. but anyway, it was baaad.

i can't drink anything else. beer just makes me slightly tipsy, and then i have to go pee A LOT.

cognac/brandy is not good.. like i wont remember anything, and i get awful headaches and hangovers the day after.

never tried tequila or rum before.
i wanna try baileys.. i heard it tastes good.

^ I think bailey's is such a girly drink lol ... It doesn't really taste like that much to be honest. Can you mix it with stuff? Anyone I know only drinks it on the rocks... Bailey's "shivers" taste pretty good though!
