How often do you wash your hair?

I saw a poll on this on Bellasugar a while back and I was curious, how often do you all wash your hair?

I wash mine around every 4 days, sometimes even 5. It sounds gross but I'm half-African so my hair is really coarse and it doesn't get greasy until almost up to a week (though I usually wash before it gets too greasy, or even more often during the summer and field hockey season and when I work out). I tried washing every day and even every other day and my hair just got so, so coarse and brittle, so I adjusted the time to around every 4-5 days.

What's funny is that I had a friend who asked me why my hair is so smooth (because I don't wash every day so the natural oils won't be stripped) and I told her that and she thought it was disgusting... Hello! I shower every day! There's a nifty little contraption called a shower cap! I also dry shampoo about halfway between washes and every time after a workout. So no, it's not gross IMO. And every time I wash I shampoo with a clarifying shampoo... which gets out everything. My hair is naturally afro-like... it's dreadful and dry and ughh.

How about all you lovelies? How often do you wash your hair?

I wash my hair everyother day. It's really long and kinda curly so it does get a little gross underneath but if I was it everyday the ends dry out really fast and my colour fades so quickly (which turns to a nice orange no matter what colour I've dyed it!) I think it only gets gross because I usually go to bed with it damp, but since it's so long I don't have time in the morning to dry it and stuff so I have to do it at night. If I didn't wash it for 4-5 days I don't even know what it'd be like... you're lucky!

Every day. My hair gets very oily quickly.
Although lately I haven't been doing anything really so every other day.
But come school time, it'll be back to every day.

I wash it every day because my hair gets really limp really fast, and since I'm in a pool a lot I need to get the chlorine out. I have tried every other day and I just don't like it! I like feeling clean! Which usually happens if my hair smells nice too.

But I totally understand where you're coming from with your hair! Cause I can't see it getting too greasy. If I were you I wouldn't wash it a lot either! It's not disgusting at all.

Depends.
If I have dance or field hockey I will wash my hair FOR SURE.
But if I don't, I try to wash it every other day. My hair doesn't get very oily or anything. But I do wash my body every day, cause not doing that would just be gross!

Every other day. Sometimes in the summer it seems like my hair gets more oily faster so I wash it every day but overall it`s usually on a schedule of every other day...and I also dry shampoo after I run and workout, cause I hate how my hair feels after I exercise, and I exercise like everyday -_- And yeah, I totally don`t get why people think when you say you wash your hair every other day that you don`t like, wash your body! I mean I have this nifty little gadget that looks like a plastic bag that I put on my head...you might know it, it`s called a shower cap? Hahah.

I was mine about every other day. I try to wait at least a day in between since I've learned that it's better for your hair. I only wash it every day if I can tell that it's really gross.

if i can go an extra day in between i will! like today for example! Happy

i dyed my hair 2 days ago so it's not oily at allllll. looks sqeaky clean, actually lol

wow, lol. Im the only one who posted every week. Well I am black, fully, sooooooo my hair doesn't get greasy & washing it too frequently would make my hair brittle and gross, and eventually break my hair.

Every other day. I shower my body everyday though. My hair doesnt get greasy for a couple days but i just dont like the feeling haha.
Ill wash it everyday if i have basketball/other sports

^Forward as well. I'm usually right side, inner and more commonly wing, but lately I've been playing left and I've been scoring more goals that side so I think I'm sticking there from now on.

Usually every day, my hair doesn't get greasy or anything, but I just hate the feeling of unwashed hair. Lately, I've been trying to do every other day though.

I wash my hair every three days. If I wash it every other day, it gets oily faster and my scalp becomes sensitive. I usually curl my hair the first day, pull my bangs back the next day and the last day I put my hair in a bun or a ponytail. I don't have dry hair or anything, but that little routine works for me. I'm glad my hair doesn't need to be washed every day cuz it would be a torture for me. I wouldn't be able to wake up early every morning before school to wash it, comb it, then use the hair dryer... Rolling Eyes
