So i've been working at this boring retail store for a year now and i had enough of it so i gave my two weeks notice today. I really need to find a new job within this two weeks b/c i got a bunch of stuff to pay for. I really wanna work at Hollister, but the closest one is 1.5 hour away from me[if i bus it]. Which is alright.. I also have been offered a job there, TWICE.. Half a year ago this really hot guy came up to me and asked me if i was interested in working there, because i had their look, and i could be a store model, but i told him i live too far. Then a month ago this other guy came up to me and told me they were hiring and asked if i was interested in working there. ONCE AGAIN, i told him i live too far. But just now i realized how much i actually wanna work there.. i'm probably gonna go there this coming week, and i'm gonna ask them if they're still hiring, but then they have group interviews and sometimes hecka too many people come to those..and i'm not that loud around strangers so they probably won't hire me. Has anyone been to their interviews? If you don't mind sharing what they're like and what kinda questions they ask and stuff.. Oh and i heard they have some particular days on which they have their interviews, was it tuesday and friday? As well as.. does anyone work at least an hour away from home? Like should i even bother applying to stores that are that kinda far.. Thanks in advance.. I'm like really desperate right now lol. I'm like having a super emergency haha.
Thank you loves. <33 |

| I wouldnt do it! 1.5 hours for pretty much minimum wage, no way! If you need money ditch the retail and find a different sort of job. |

yeah...1.5 hours just to go there to work isnt worth it, imo. because when you think about it, you'll be wasting 3 hours of your time right there to bus there and back. if you get a job closer to you, you could work more hours and make more money or work the same amount of hours that you would've worked at hollister and save 3 hours to do other stuff. _________________ used to be 'sw33tlilhugz' on the old f18. I wouldn't do it. For a minimum wage job, 1.5 hours is a long ways to go! Plus if you are working after school, you would probably have 3-5 hour shifts .. and you would have to budget for the 3 hours to get there are back so you would only be able to work like.. 2 hours.
The place I work is a 15 minute walk. I think it would be an unessary hassel to go somewhere farther away. |

| Not worth it, especially for min. wage and 1.5 hours away. Even if you do like the store, its not worth it to work there if you live so far away. I bet you could find a closer job that pays more |

Eh, thanks you guys. Idk i still wanna work there so bad.. mm.. discounts!! haha.. idk.
Question:
I'm fixing up my resume right now and since i just gave my two weeks notice, how do i put that in my work experience section.. like i've worked there October, 2006 - present.. or should i just put the date of my last shift which is November 10.. but then that might seem a bit weird.. mhm? |

I agree with everyone else, it's too far away for around minimum wage.
Plus don't you have to wear their clothes when you work there? So whatever money you do make, wouldn't most of it go right back into the store? So I don't think Hollister would be the best place for you to work if you want to save up money. |
