|
|
| My friend and her boyfriend text non stop when they are apart. All the time! on the bus, in school, in the car, at the mall etc. I understand that you need to tell him something or whatever, but she does it all the time. Like we were at her house talking, and she just pullls out her phone and starts texting. Its so annoying!! Also, when she comes to my house, we were watching a movie and she starts texting. Am I not good enough company or something? arghh. Maybe im over reacting, but what are your thoughts?? |

That bothers me too!
Most of my friends aren't bad at all, but my one friend is horrible for that. We'll be hanging out and she'll be mid-sentence and just stop to read and reply to her text. It gets so annoying.
Yeah, I text too, but I try not to do it so much around others, or not when I'm in the middle of a conversation with someone. _________________

I COMPLETELY AGREE with everything you wrote and a couple of my friends do all the things you mentioned. I'll write some annoying anecdotes of my own later but I just cut my main typing finger (lol) and it takes me forever to type w/o using it
But that reallly is one of my biggest pet peeves! esp. during movies! _________________

xD wow i would not know what that is like. none of my friends text, it costs extra so they're like ehh (mine's free so i txt them, but not a lot. the last time was when i wished them luck on their physics exam in june)
but that does seem really really annoying, especially when she's with you!!! i mean... that's kinda really rude! i think you should announce your feelings, in a non-attacking way of course.
wow... o_o what could they (your bff and bf) be talking about 24/7? _________________ [aka mitsukoshi]

Yeah, that is really rude! I mean, when I get text messages or calls I wait for a convenient time to check them, or I ask if it's okay if I answer/read it. You shouldn't interrupt whatever social interaction you're in at the moment for it.
But it's really funny how technology has almost become like an extension of a person, and how automatic some people have become at answering calls or text messages...some people actually work like machines! |

heh, technology comes with consequences, I suppose. =9
what's really bad, I was at work once, and these two ladies were, i suppose trying to catch up
but they were on their phones the whole time.
when one was talking, the other was texting, and vise versa.
.. pretty bad stuff if you ask me. _________________

| you could try to talk to her about it, or you could do the same thing to her, text people while shes with you. If your textings expensive then just play around on your phone. Check the time, delete messeges..etc. etc. |

you should definitely tell her "you're here to hang out with me. not be talking and texting with your friend/boyfriend. now put the phone down and let's have some fun!" _________________

^haha i know one too. she had to get unlimited texting because she did like 2000 texts one month and her bill was insane.
i text but not that muuch... but i do admit i do it even if i'm with friends.. not back and forth conversations, but a quick text to ask something. _________________

haha, so my best friend just got the lg shine.
it's her first phone, so of course. she never lets it out of site.
I mean, it's no surprise she's in that phase. she's wanted a phone for forever.
but... it gets annoying. personally, I don't really like that phone so much, so to see the fact that she's glued to it, texting and talkig.. bleh.
it's so ridiculous and sometimes funny when it beeps, or vibrates. she answerws in in less than a second. _________________

yep, me too. when I slept over at hee house, she plugs it in the outlet behind her headboard and puts in under her pillow. I told her to put it in her pillowcase so it don't fall behind the headboard because one time it did and she made me fish it out because I have long arms.
Okay, way off topic, but whatevs. _________________
