ok. so I'm planning to get a gym membership.
but, I dont know where:S
I'm stuck between two places!
one of the gyms is "Just ladies fitness" ( if u live in vancouver u might know what I'm talking about) The gym is really big, and u get to watch TV while working out.
the other gym is in one of the community centers, its for everybody, men and women, its not as big as the other gym, and they dont have TV!
so I dont know which gym to go to! I think just ladies is better, but the membership fee is twice the other gym's membership fee!
which gym do you think I should go to?
do u think the fact that there are TV's in the gym and wether the gym is only for ladies should matter? is it worth paying the extra money? _________________ Dude_89 |

honestly i think it is completely up to you. i rarely go to the gym, and when i do, i go to the community centre just cause it's cheaper, but some people prefer to work in a segregated sex environment. if i was really into working out, i'd probably pick a private gym (whether it's only-women or not), just cause overall i think their equipment and gym is better, cause they get more funding. that's only my opinion though, you should probably consider how often you'll go and what you're comfortable with, and what you need. i mean, tvs are nice but they're not completely necessary, right?
good luck |

^ thanx for the reply!
I was thinking that the ladies gym would be nicer, because they have so many equipments, but only few people go to that gym. so I could use all the equipments. also since I'm not going there with anybody else, I was thinking that TV would be a good thing cause I wont get bored! _________________ Dude_89 |

Go for one session at each, and see if the ladies gym is actually worth twice the fee. _________________

alright.. so I got a gym memebership at just ladies. 1 year.
its $145 for the registration and $50 a month.. plus $30 for a session where u go in and they take all ur information and stuff.
n e ways.. my plan is to lose weight, but I have no idea which machines are appropriate to use.. I'm not looking into building muscles..
so do u think I should lift weights or not? which exercise machines should I use?
btw.. I spend up to 2 hours in the gym! _________________ Dude_89 |

Hmm, it depends how much YOU can take in. I wouldn't lift weights @ the first session, I would go on the treadmill and do something light first. You know, like get used to the feel and THEN lift weights. But if you're not looking to get muscles, I wouldn't. The treadmill is AWESOME for burning calories. _________________

| Why not try consulting with a personal trainer at your gym? I go to the YMCA and it's included in the membership price... but they sit down with you, you tell them your goals and what you want to achieve and they create a plan for you. Then they show you machines that they recommend. |
