Well, we all have career goals in mind. Some of us have even accomplished those already. What are they?
I wanted to be a teacher, but now I want an office job of some sort... Anything to get away from this part time server job... Just 1 more year of high school. _________________

I want to be a lawyer when I "grow up".
So that's two more years of high school, four years for my undergrad, and three years of law school. After that, I have to article for one year.
So pretty much, 10 years until my dream career. But hopefully, the satisfaction of getting there will be worth all of it. _________________

Right now I plan to become a dental hygienist. But I tend to change my mind very often, so we'll see what happens. _________________

Either majoring in psychology and becoming either a therapist, child psychologist or possibly marriage counsellor.
Or becoming a social worker.
And then my friend recently gave me the idea of psychiatric nursing.
I feel like I should really know what I want, but luckily the courses I'm taking right now generally work for all three areas. _________________ .:DeadDisco:. |

I want to be a child care provider, maybe work in a daycare or something. I helped my friend out once at her job and it was so fun and the pay is really good. If that doesn't work out or I change my mind (which I do every other week) I would love an office job, maybe a receptionist....or secretary. _________________

| I want to be a Human Resources Manager. I'm doing a degree in psychology now, so I'll have to take some business/HR courses after I graduate. |

for a while i was set on becoming a CA.. i've been working in an accounting firm for over a year now, and sometime in january i completely changed my mind about it.
i'm really good at my job, and my bosses tell me i'll make a good accountant one day (not to sound like i'm bragging) but even with all that, i'm just not too happy with it. i like it as a part time job, but for a career it doesn't seem very fulfilling.
there's a lot of money in it, but there's no satisfaction. i just take companies records for a year, compile them into financial statements, do the tax returns, and move on to the next company. all i do is serve the needs of the owners of the company, trying to find ways to reduce their taxes.
i decided that i wanted a career that would do something to help people.. not just rich people trying to get richer.. but everyone. i figure if i go with politics, i'll hopefully end up with a job at the UN Human Rights Council, and then i can really be making a change in the world for people. even if it's a small change, that would be way more fulfilling than saving some rich shmo with $200,000 cash in his corporate bank account a few tax dollars. _________________

^My parents are CPAs and are now starting their own bussiness. They say they love the fullfillment in knowing that they set up this and that. They create new solutions and so on. My mom worked for Mariot (in the financial and bussiness part, not in the hospitality part) and for Johns Hopkins (again the financial part) and set up a lot of systems they still use today. My father, at is work he is about to leave was the CFO. Yeah, so there is still some creativity and fullfillment options with accounting, it's not just behind a desk.
I may have told you something you already know, but whatever. Hope I helped.
I either want to be:
A screenwright
A director of film
A director of photography in cinema (cinemaphotographer)
Or post-porduction is pretty sweet.
A gonzo journalist
An author
I want to be all of that. _________________
