I'm going to be visiting my friend in Edmonton in a couple of weeks, and as much as I want to go to West Ed Mall-looking at the mall listings is making me lose my excitement for the world's largest shopping mall :S
Can anyone recommend any shops/areas to go in Edmonton-especially areas with local boutiques? I want to look for things that I can't just buy here in Vancouver. (Style wise, my favorite shop in Vancouver is Plenty if that helps at all).
Also-are there any good denim shops (in West Ed or otherwise)? I'm in need of a new pair of skinnies and I figure I might as well dish out $200 for jeans in a place with only one tax |

well i would suggest going to Whyte Ave, there's a lot of really cool boutiques and stores there, but i dont know what Plenty is so i guess i cant really help you compare.
But if you want something that's not just the "typical" shopping mall, do Whyte Ave _________________

| ^Yeah my friend mentioned that to me. Do you know what the price range is like in many of the stores? I'm not looking to cheap out but I don't really want to spend $150 on a top either. I've got lots to buy! |

| I would say to check out Whyte Ave as well. Personally I don't think WEM is that great, it's big and all, but it doesn't have any really special stores or anything. Also check out High Street. I myself have never been, but my friend said there are some really cute stores. |

Definately Whyte Ave! Just be careful, because there can be some strange people there. The prices range alot, theres a few vintage stores where you could get a shirt for $20, while others (Sophia's etc), shirts are $60 and up.
Definitely check out gravity pope for shoes, sophia's has some really nice designer jeans, american apparel if you havent been. Have fun! |
