I'm not tropical_pink, but I find that with MAC's stuff I have to use both. The foundation alone looks streaky, and the powder alone usually makes my skin look flakey.

that looks soso pretty! i also think it would look very nice on you if you used green instead of the blue, but either way it looks great and you are very pretty! I'm too scared to do anything that doesn't look like it could be natural... It looks so good on everyone else but when I look at myself it looks weird lol

^Thanks =D! When I opt for colour I usually go for purple or green but I wanted to make a look using my then-new Heatherette by MAC pop blue eyeliner. I usually don't do blues lol.
And I'm sure colours wouldn't look weird on you, I've seen your photos on F18 and you're so pretty~! I totally think you could pull it off, it just takes some time getting used to it. Start off with light purples and work your way from there, I personally found it the easiest COLOURcolour to work with.

Usual face stuff.
-MAC blush in Shy Beauty, Well Dressed
-MAC paint pot in Bare Study
-falsies, mascara
-MAC e/l in black
-Shenji black & white shimmer e/s
-Clinique Glosswear in Juicy Apple
-Burts Bees balm

So I FINALLY decided to try this balm after y'all loved it. And I must say, even when I skip a day exfoliating my lips, this stuff makes the dryness disappear o.0 awesome =D

So I've been playing around with possible prom looks (still not 100% sure if I'm going) and here's the one I'm gearing towards. Yeah, I decided that I'm gonna do my own makeup rather than pay $40 for it... since I can't afford to blow that much lol.

Usual face stuff, brows, powder, mascara.
-MAC blush in Shy Beauty [my absolute fave]
-MAC gold shimmer powder
-MAC kohl in Fascinating
-Maybelline Cool Effects black e/l
-NARS black e/s
-Shenji shimmery white e/s
-L'Oreal Lineur Intense
-Quo falsies
-MAC paint pot in Bare Study [another staple]
-MAC e/s in Black Tied
-MAC e/s in Crystal Avalanche
-LORAC goldy beige e/s
-Dans Un Jardin white glitter gel
-MAC l/s in Brew
-MAC l/g in Florabundance
-SONY CP l/g... tannish beige

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v351/midget18angel/?action=view&current=020.jpg

On my movable eyelid I only really used a base, a highlight, and black [one with more pigment, the other with less]. It's such a simple look.
But I don't know if I should add a lil punch of colour or something.

shanti, love the makeup!

i have a quick question for you, if you don't mind but may i ask how you do your eyebrows, they are really nice and since mine are a bit overplucked, i need to find a way to fill them in and have them look natural. TIA!

Thanks, emcee & pinyswear! =]

Well honestly the last time I got my brows done were in October... I just tried to maintain the same shape since then. I showed the lady a picture of Mary Kate's eyebrows lol. But I use brow gel and most importantly, brow powder. I use the one from MAC... it's called "Walnut" I think [one of the medium shades]. If yours are overplucked you can try using those stencil kits? Or look at a magazine for inspriation lol... oh and get a slanted brow/eyeliner brush [I use a Sephora one, it cost me only $11]. I make a light "outline" of the shape I want, surrounding my brows [I hope you get what I mean], then I fill it in. I tend to go lighter where there are actual hairs and heavier where it's just skin. I also drag out the length of the "brow" by 2 mm or so... my niece-once-removed taught me that and ever since it's been better Icon_XP.
You're basically just sketching out the shape you want on your brows. I hope that makes sense =S but I'm not really good at these brow things lol... 8 months ago my brows were horrible so I'm honestly new at this.

Shanti, that's gorgeous! Your so good at doing your own make-up. it looks like a professional did it. You should be a makeup artist, I haven't seen anyone do their makeup so good before! That's great makeup for prom!

Urban Decay eyeshaw in Sellout or knockout maaybe. But its like a champagney color.
Sephora eyeliner, black
Benefit badgal mascara, black
Nars blush, orgasm
Dior Replenishign lipstick, pink fiction i think....

Thanks _TNA_ & babiee_nicky! =]

pinkyswear: They say you should book an appointment if you want your makeup done otherwise they'll get pissed. However once I went to buy the powder and I asked the girl to "demonstrate how to properly use the brow powder" and she filled them in. Guess you can try that =]

Shanti if you use foundation and powder may I ask what kind you use?? your skin looks so pretty and flawless......

NYX gold Eyeliner on water line

Rimmel Eyeshadow in Midnight

Claire's Silver sparkle eyeshadow (only in corners of eyes for a subtle pop)
Skin Market Gold eye creme on brow bone

Vaseline on lips

SOHO concealer over top (I find putting concealer on after makes my skin less oily)
Clinique Double SuperPowder
(concealer on lips)

Cover Girl blush in natural shimmer for peachy base
Annabelle blush in rose for finishing touch

Maybelline Great lash Mascara on top and lower lids
on top of that Clinique mascara for more impact

I use MAC Studio Fix foundation [liquid & powder, but most days I just use powder]. Honestly those were my first ones I've ever used too.
