Paintballin, yo!

So my friend and I are thinking of going paintballing sometime soon, once certain fields open up and we get a good group to go.
This is my first time going, and hers too I believe so if any of you have already gone, do you have any pointers, comments, etc.?
Also, does it hurt to get by hit a paintball? I know one of my friends got a bruise/welt from getting hit but I don't know if that's just because she got hit close up or something like that.

Does it hurt? Depends. If you get hit from far, it doesn't really hurt that much, it's just scary cause you're all like "OMG I GOT SHOT!" But if you get hit from pretty close, and it hits you directly, then yes it hurts...I got a bunch of bruises and welts the last time I went.

I guess the only advice I would give is to have a strategy with your team...and it's less scary if you stick with someone else so you guys can watch out for each other!

I was got hit in the butt. That hurt.

My brothers and dad used to paintball all the time (it's kind of a Florida thing) and I've been several times. I don't know. I was never really that good.

clothes wise, wear full butted underwear. or like leggins underneath your jeans. Wear long sleaves (you guys probably don't have a choice because its cold wear you are) maybe even several long sleaves. They have those lights helmets that don't have backs but those always scare me.

Game wise, from a girl's pov, just don't freak. My brother had thise machine gun like paintball gun and he could just hammer you. That time, I never really got hit, and getting hit didn't really hurt it was just the having bullets fly at you that made me scream running through the trees and falling that got me all wigged out.

i went paintballing with my two brothers, and my cousins. all of them go paintballing all of the time, and i was a newbie. the first two rounds i didnt cock my gun or something and so it wouldnt fire, ahaha i rented the protective pants and jacket and it was really baggy on me so when i got hit, it kinda just hit the clothes and not me. so my advice would be to wear looser clothing so it doesnt hurt and to dress in layers because u get really hot and if you dont have something underneath to wear u will be really hot and wont be able to take ur sweater off. other than that just stay by ur friends and duck and hide behind trees and stuff.

im not much help seeing as i suck at paintball hahaha
