What would I wear to Christmas dinner at my bf's house?
I mean his parents are really .. informal .. but I don't want to underdress or anything. I just don't know what's considered formal/informal with them, so .. what's something "safe" to wear? |

welll ..... I would wear a skirt with tights and a blouse and some flats, and nice jewelry.
but i also wear that to school, and am always over dressed.
just wear something cute and comfy
and NOT sleazy! go for something more conservative.
i say better to be overdressed than under, so go for it
lol

| What should I wear to my friends' Sweet Sixteen? It's semi-formal, and dresses and heels are encouraged. I just don't know where to get the stuff! Anyone have any suggestions? |

Do you have an idea what the price range for the clothing is there? I mean, for a typical dress?
I just don't want to spend millions on something that I only wear for one day. I kind of want it to be casual as well so I can wear the dress on a regular day. |

1. VICTORIA'S SECRET Clearance $26.99
2. VICTORIA'S SECRET Clearance $16.99
3. URBAN OUTFITTERS $48.00 ONLINEONLY
I'm not really sure if they're formal enough, especially the second one but I was thinking maybe add some accessories to make it more formal. _________________ used to be 'sw33tlilhugz' on the old f18. (; |

No! They are so perfect! I love the second one personally, but sadly I live in Canada, and I don't have Victoria's Secret anywhere near here. :/ But I do have Urban Outfitters. Unfortunatly, it's online, and I need it by Friday. Plus, it costs like 30+ dollars for Canadian shipping.
But thanks for your ideas! They are truly adorable! I'll try to see if they have any similar ones around here! :333 |

If you're still sad about the knit dress from Aritzia, they just got a new one out at Urban Behaviour. It's a lot cheaper at 29.50, but I still think mine is cuter. But that's just me. It's not on their website yet, I checked. But they also hd this dress at the same price:

^^ No, not yet. I'm going tomorrow since I don't have any school. :3 But I will! I'm going to be ripping through all the stores just to find a nice dress. XD But all your suggestions have been helpful! I'll definately check out UO downtown.
^ Oh that is cute, but I still really like the one from Aritzia a lot better. :/ But I'll check it out when I go downtown, and hopefully they'll have it!
Thank you everyone for your input. It's been great and extremely helpful! |

I didn't know they don't have VS here in Canada. I always thought they had it in Toronto. _________________ used to be 'sw33tlilhugz' on the old f18. (; |

^Congrats! Glad you finally found one you liked
Ok, so I'm going to my friend's sweet sixteen and it's a night where it should all be about her. I want her to shine! But I'm always one to overdress and she dresses really really casually. It's just a casual thing at her house, so how do I dress so I can impress (I'm going to meet new people over there and I like to make a good first impression) but not so that I take anything away from her? |

I'm wearing this dress on a cruise for one of the fancier evenings. It's just a cotton dress, so I need to dress it up. I'll be changing the belt for sure, I'll most likely be wearing flats and I'll be wearing a necklace. Basically my question is: What colour accesories would you pair with this dress?
My mom says red, so like a skinny red patent belt, "Dorothy" shoes, and a red necklace. But I dunno. I need more opinions! _________________

^ I agree with china.doll. A small white pearl necklace would be really cute. Red may be a little loud against the blue and white. That is a beautiful dress though!
Have fun on your cruise! I'm so jelous!! |

thanks for the opinions, guys. I'm definitely not going to go with red, I've decided, because it might be too Fourth of July... and that's not cool. I want to look into colours, like yellow or green, to add some spunk, but I'll probably end up going with a metallic. I'll just have to see what's out there tomorrow! _________________
