Personally I think this should be a sticky
It's just a list of things that you're surprised haven't become a trend or you wish were a trend.
For me I'm surprised coloured tights haven't become a trend. No I know people wear coloured leggings/tights UNDER dresses and shirts, but i've yet to see someone take it to the next level wearing coloured tights as pants. I'd like to see if who could pull it off. _________________ [Veni]..

| I wear colored tights under dresses and skirts all the time. Personally, I think any color of tights being worn as pants looks horrible. |

When it gets enough posts it might become a sticky. =]
Yeah, I agree with _TNA_... if they were worn as pants that would be terrible =( I mean, it's like wearing leggings as pants. Or worse? You'd have to wear the colored tights under something anyway, even shorts or however they're worn in mags these days (personally I don't really follow trends =P).
Well... whenever frills aren't trendy for spring it surprises me... because spring is supposed to be all springy and pretty and happy and stuff... I'm actually surprised that those "bamboo" earrings are in style, I'd think that the total opposite would do. |

I think the trend was always supposed to be under things.
I don't know. It's a bit extreme... I didn't mind it on Gossip Girl (with Blair) - but aren't those too wild for her? LOL. I didn't really understand that whole thing. |

^I don't think they are too wild. She paired them with a preppy look (pinstriped tory burch blazer), and I think she made them look classic rather than edgy or what not, imo.
I only have red coloured tights, but I love them under a navy or black tunic. Usually, though, I'm boring, and wear black tights.
But seriously, no one could pull off tights as pants. They weren't meant to be pants...
If I saw someone wearing them as pants, I would laugh at them (not directly, but in my mind, of course). I just think it wouldn't look all that pleasant. _________________

^Same, I liked the look.
I have red, navy, and purple tights. I think I wear my black and navy ones the most though!
EW, I once saw someone wearing WHITE leggings as pants. It was scary. |

^I have seen so many people that wear leggings and tights as pants and it looks horrible. Usually there are overweight too so everything is bulging and hanging out and then their g-string is like up over the leggings and the material of the leggings is so stretched you can see right through them, ugh, really gross. Haha the white leggings thing made me laugh.
Im not quite sure if there are any things that I think should be trends. Usually its the other way around and im like, why is this a trend and why does everyone wear that? _________________

Tights with pants? Nooo that would bad, since half of tights are sheer. And they just werent meant to be worn alone, you have to pair them with something else _________________

^How interesting lol.
Man. I'm wondering why Korean fashion hasn't showed an ounce of popularity here... NOT counting the Korean fobs of course.
We need to be pairing our skinnies with other stuff too! _________________ Love me when I'm ugly first. |

I don't think leggings as pants are that bad. I've seen it done - on American Apparel (their site).
(Wearing yellow tights, navy rib vest, and jersey t-shirt)
Or maybe it's just because it's AA.. they make anything look cool |

Yeah, leggings as pants would be hideous. Especially on someone with the wrong figure. Or when you can see their panty line.
I agree with the first post, though. Coloured tights [under something] are the way to go! _________________

Yeahh but in that picture, the girl's butt is covered by her top a little bit.
If she was wearing, like, a t-shirt and then wore leggings as pants, that's different. That look is completely retarded and unflattering to anyone. _________________

| If the butt is covered than it looks okay but when you wear a short top with leggings that just looks kinda weird and not very nice. |

| Okay. Tights should not be worn as pants. Ever. They should be worn under a skirt, dress, shorts, etc. Leggings I am okay with wearing with bottoms as long as 1) you look good, or okay in them, and 2) your crotch region is covered, i.e. you are wearing a tunic, or long top, and even then there are exceptions (as in you can wear a tunic and still look bad) |

wasn't there an article in nylon last month about whether wearing tights as pants are fashionable?
well i find it kind of weird when all of a sudden you see a friend and all she is wearing is long johns [although they are not tights but similar in the same way] and a halo shirt and some kind of flat. no, everyone does not want to see your butt. like the many above have said put a longer shirt on! or maybe a dress? _________________

I hope (desperately) that next year at school girls have stopped wearing leggings as pants but I am not holding my breathe. Seriously I know I've mentioned it before because it is an EPIDEMIC!!!
And one time I saw a girl at my school who was wearing leggings as pants and the leggings were so worn (like how bathing suits are) so they were practically see through!! |

Only some courageous people wear tights or leggings as pants in my town. They actually are a very little minority. It's kinda funny to know that it's pretty much the opposite for you girls ^^ ! _________________ Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow. |

@Sweet<3: I'm sorry, but I'm afraid there's not point wishing that school girls won't.
the incoming freshman (grade eights and/or nines) are going to be completely oblivious to the school's coming and going trends.. _________________
