please? anyone know of anything?!?!
pills, masks creams?
do you know where to buy them, ones that actually work?
I kind of have dark skin and I really want it to be lighter in colour.
I tried some whitening masks but they don't work!
My skin isn't like super dark. It's more of a tan colour
i don't want to be like pale like michale jackson, just lighter than i already am.
HELP PLEASE? _________________

I dont know how you can get any lighter, unless you apply sunscreen 24/7. _________________

I've heard about lemon juice but that damages your skin so much!
I don't think there's any safe way to lighten your skin. It's not meant to be. _________________

| Haha you are the first person I have heard that wants to be lighter. I would just wear sunscreen all the time and I dont think that you can really lighten your natural pigment. |

Does sunscreen stop your skin from tanning?
Just wondering. Because I never wear it. And that would explain the 3-4 shade darker tradition by the end of the summer. _________________

@simplyperfect: I don't know. My teacher was saying how her mom used to try so hard to lighten her skin, so she'd put lemon juice on her face (or wherever) and go out in the sun. But that was really damaging to her skin!!
^I think it protects your skin more so it's harder for the sun to do any damager (which would just be tanning your skin). So it's like a layer of protection? _________________

^ Ive heard the lemon thing too.
I googled it and this is something about it
| Quote: | How to Use a Lemon to Lighten Your Skin
There is an article on how to lighten skin that say use lemon, but if you don't know how, try these different methods.
[edit] StepsSpray it on. Find an old spray bottle, and put lemon juice in it. If you want, add some water. Spray it on your skin and go out in the sun.
Rub it on. Rub a lemon rind over your skin. It cleanses the skin.
Use it to "wash" your face. Splash it onto your face in the morning the same way you'd use water to wash your face.
(using lemon and lime juice in the sun can cause excessive burns - personal experience)
[edit] TipsIf you're going into the sun with the lemon on your skin, put on sunscreen, so you don't get tanned.
[edit] WarningsLemon juice is an acid. Depending on your skin type, it may react with the sun to cause blisters. If it does, dilute the lemon juice with an equal amount of water, and always wash it off afterwards.
Watch out for your eyes!

There's a bunch of products who claim to "whiten skin"... I think Dior makes one (called DiorSnow or something) and Lancome make a spot treatment. I don't think they acutally make you paler, they just prevent and somewhat repair dark spots from the sun and stuff. Also The Body Shop makes the Moisture White line (cleanser, toner, serum and day/night moisturizers). Look for products with Vitamin C and licorice extracts.
But this is just for uneven pigmentation... you sound like you actually want to be paler. For that I can't help you =/ |

hey girls i found this:
Home Remedies for Skin Whitening Care:
Mix 1 tsp of milk powder, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and ½ tsp of almond oil. Apply on face and wash off after 10-15 minutes. This pack helps bring shine to the skin and also removes tan.
Mix oatmeal with curd and tomato juice and apply on the face. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It helps remove the tan and lightens the skin.
Place sliced raw potato on the face. It helps reduce blemishes and other marks.
Applying turmeric powder along with lime juice removes the tan. Lime juice is a natural bleach.
Dried orange peels mixed with curd also help reduce blemishes and scars. Wash off this mixture with cold water after 15 minutes.
Soak 4 almonds overnight. Grind into a fine paste using milk. Apply on face and neck and leave it overnight. Wash with cold water in the morning. Do this daily for 15 days, followed by twice a week.
A tbsp of gram flour mixed with 2 tsp of raw milk and 2-3 drops of lime juice works well for lightening dark skin. Apply this mixture and leave it for 15 minutes before washing off. Repeat for 4 weeks and follow up with once a week.
Apply a paste of fresh ground mint leaves and leave it for about 20 minutes. Wash with cold water, continue for 15 days.
Apply a mixture of grated tomato with 2-3 drops of lime juice on the face. Leave it for 20 minutes before washing off. Do this twice a day for 15-20 days for best results.
Diet for Getting Rid of Dark Skin
Although there are no particular foods that will lighten your skin instantly, a balanced diet definitely helps by giving your skin a healthy glow. Drinking an optimum amount of water hydrates your skin and keeps it blemish free. Some recommendations regarding diet are as follows –
Avoid excessive consumption of heavy and oily foods.
Incorporate whole cereals, pulses, fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.
Drink at least 4-5 liters of water every day. Water washes out the toxins from the body.
