I have to find a sociolgical book to read for my sociology class (go figure) and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I'm up for pretty much anything right now.
I was trying to narrow down the subjects.. race, gender, economic status to pick a specific theme, but I can't pick what I'd like to read most. Maybe something to do more with gender and feminism?

^Thanks for the idea. I might go do that. I was just wondering if anyone has read a sociological book that they really liked.

any so called long and boring classic (I like them, but whatever)

they have hidden meanings.

btw are you thinking fiction or nonfiction

nonfiction:
"Why you act the way you do" (kind of a Christian slant, but it works)

I know the grammar was awful, but honestly, right now I don't care.

I do know that there are 2 though and one is a little kids book so make sure you get the right one, lol. Cause I put it on hold once and then when I got it it was the wrong one and I was like hmm I dont think this is what I was supposed to read for class, lol.

^I did a quick search on Amazon for that book and it came up as a novel about the history of philosophy. The description still could work as a sociological book but it's not what I'm really looking for. Thanks anyway.

I'm looking for something that's obviously about society and the problems. To Kill a Mockingbird is an example since it clearly goes over racism. Although I'd like to preferably like to read something about feminism/women's rights.

Still up for ideas.
The assignment was giving to us at the beginning of the year, and now it's nearing the end.
Also, it has to be non-fiction.

East of Eden

EDIT: oh just kidding, I just read the non-fiction part. But then again East of Eden could be argued as non-fiction because I think it is a family story.
