Ok so I have this one blackhead right above my top lip. What is the best thing to do with it? I've never really had a blackhead before and it's really annoying......do I pop it or is there a cream or something I can use on it? I tried my normal pimple spot treatment but I don't think it's working at all.....
Thanks guys! |

| I would either try using a scrub or like the Biore pore strips. The Biore pore strips have strips for nose and for face and they work really well. |

| ^ I HATE THOSE WITH A FIERY PASSION. Sometimes I take a painkiller and it makes it less red and less painful, though, maybe give it a try to see if it works for you too! |

| Tea tree oil might help - pour a few drops on a q-tip and dab it on the pimple. I find that tea tree oil helps a lot with decreasing the inflammation. sometimes when I'm really desperate I use a spot treatment on top of the oil, but that can be too drying if I'm not careful. |

| haha I am bumping this thread...... so my blackhead is still there, I can`t believe how deep it is, has anyone ever been able to pop a blackhead or is my best bet treating it? I tried the tea tree oil but it did`t really help, so I am thinking of trying strips has anyone had really good luck with any in particular? |

Maybe try steaming your face so the pores open and exfoliate. Or you could try to pop it since the blackhead should come to the surface after steaming it. You could also try holding a warm towel against it for a few minutes and try to pop it. I'm not quite sure about the strips though.
Hope this helps! |

I usually pop them. Try taking tweezers and kind of "peeling" off the top part that's at the surface, and then squeeze it so that the "plug" comes above the surface, and pull it away with the tweezers.
Ew, I just realized how nasty that sounds haha. But it works. Don't forget to wash your face after so the pore doesn't clog again. _________________

I might be too late, but you shouldn't use tweezers to get rid of your blackhead. If you remove its surface with tweezers, it could leave a scar. You should steam your face or put a hot water compress on it to open the pore at its maximum and then try to pop it. Since it can be difficult to do it with your fingers, you could buy a blemish extractor. Here is a picture to show you what it looks like, just in case :
You basically encircle the blemish with the loop and pressure lightly until it pops out. I hope your blackhead will become a past memory ! _________________ Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow. |
