|
|
So I'm contemplating buying a new TNA hoodie just because the colors are always gorgeous and they're such a classic.
Problem is, my black hoodie wasn't exactly the greatest thing ever.
I've had it for a year or two, and the fabric has gone all hard, rough, and faded.
I'm just wonder what's everyone else's experience with TNA hoodies in terms of quality and how fast the color fades depending on which color you got?
Also how would you compare them to American Apparel's hoodies? (The Unisex California fleece hoodie is $60 Canadian! =|)
Thanks in advanced <3
Edit: For those of you who have AA hoodies? How do you find the sleeves? I tried on a couple unisex styles yesterday. The body fit fine and the sleeves were way too baggy. Will the sleeves shrink in width?

AA hoodies are way better. Tna ones shrink so bad too, AA do too but not as nearly as bad. They both come in nice colours but i think AA ones hold up better _________________

| Yeah, I got two TNA hoodies about a month ago and I love them both. They're both still fairly soft, and I haven't noticed any shrinking (but maybe that's because I hang-dry them instead of putting them in the dryer!) . I dunno about the colour, though, because I find that any black hoodie that you buy tends to fade after a while. Mine are tope and grey and they still look fine! |

| i had a tna blue hoodie and had it for like 6 months and then one time when I put it in the wash something else had stained my sweater .so i had a bad experience with tna hoodies. But other then that they are soooo comfy and warm. Just be careful you don't stain it or mix it in the wash with the wrong things. |

I have AA hoodies, TNA hoodies, and Lululemon hoodies, and I think it all kind of matters what you really like the best. I think I myself prefer the AA hoodies the best, because they actually stay pretty soft no matter how much you wash it, and of course there's a huge variety of colours which is great. I also love TNA ones because they seem more comfy, and as it was mentioned, their fabric is thicker so they are warmer. But yes, they do shrink, and the zipper is NOT pre-shrunk (keep that in mind!) and the fabric does start to rough up as you wash it.
Lululemon are probably best in quality, but I find them kind of overwhelming sometimes cause they're so thick! That said, they are really comfy, especially on cold days, and I love that the sleeves are long so they cover your hands too!
P.S. None of my TNA hoodies have faded...but mine are white, pink, and grey. So that's probably why. Haha |

^ . They are little baggy on me, but nothing that bothers me. The sleeves got a little shorter when i washed it, but not like tighter _________________

| I have only two TNA hoodies, but the quality seems to be pretty good. The fabric is thick, so it's really comfy, and I haven't noticed any fading or piling. The thing is, it's just a hoodie, which is for normal use, so as long as you like the colour, pattern, and fit, I don't think it matters that much whether you get one from TNA or AA. |

All I wear around my house is fleece - I'm cold 24/7 so I need either fleece or pj's, Lol. Basically my point is, I'm well versed in the hoodie world.
I've had tons of brands, and the only good ones I've found are TNA and Abercrombie. Both are about the same quality, and depending on style, the TNA one's are a bit thicker.
While I like A&F's more classic items (not necessarily the "overly themed" vintage sweatshirts..not really my style, with "varsity" on them etc.), TNA's plain basic can't be beaten. The quality declines with washing, but what doesn't these days. The warmth, fit and comfort is pretty much the best I've found. Juicy fleece is SO thin, and even rips on occasion...So I would stick with the TNA.
Unfortunately, I have issues with TNA (and some other people that live in other areas of the lower mainland and think TNA is "the most expensive thing ever" and "comparable to Gucci")...so I tend to freeze as I don't want to wear it visibly outside the house, LOL. |

i have a black aa hoodie and it hasn't faded. it was as expensive as a tna hoodie for me (i got a custom print on it from bang on.. but it's my favorite hoodie) and it's stayed softer on the inside than my tna ones. also, the sleeves did shrink in a bit.
however, i find that with the aa hoodies, sometimes the color runs and soaks into the white drawstrings, while tna ones don't do that. also, tna is a little thicker than aa, i think.
it's just a matter of preference; how much you want to spend, and how it looks on you. |

I have 2 TNA hoodies and I love them! They're so cozy and warm! I think they're really good quality because of the thickness, so it's not like you're paying $70 for really thin cotton or anything.. I've never had an AA hoodie so I have no opinion besides what I think about the TNA hoodies; but as far as I've heard, AA's are pretty good too. _________________

Sorry, but how is a hoody considered classic?
Why is everyone so obsessed with paying so much money to look like everyone else?

| I'm considering getting an AA hoodie, just because it doesn't have a symbol/logo on it like the TNA or lululemon ones...haha. my little sister has a TNA hoodie and it feels quite comfy so I hope the AA ones will last as long. |
