Hey everyone.
So I'm thinking of buying tall chocolate uggs from the official ugg site. Under shipping it says that $150 boots cost $19.95 to ship to Canada, and then you have to pay duty and taxes on top of that "as mandated by the Government for which the shipment is received." Has anyone ordered tall uggs from the ugg site and know how much theyd cost in all? Thanks alot! |

Heyyyy!
In January, I ordered a new pair of short uggs, and they came to around 200 i think with duties. Like a month later, I got this thing in the mail saying I had to pay 50 dollars for duties! They by accident sent me a pair of slippers, which i still have!, so maybe they charged duties for that too. I know I have a the bill for a pair of tall uggs lying around somewhere, so I will go find that for you! |

| Ugh, shipping across the border is such a hassle. My aunt sent me a Tiffany's necklace for my birthday last year, and apparently you're supposed be exempt from duties if they're sending a gift, but only if the gift is like under 60 dollars or something, so I had to pay $80 in duties! AAAAHHHH. |

^^No problem!
^OMG THAT SUCKS! And its a gift! How mean of them.
Ugh, I can't find the bill ANYWHERE! I think it might have been around 60? It was not that much more than the short ones. Usually, I just buy mine in the states! But the good thing is, online they have all the proper sprays. |

Dont worry about it. Thanks for trying!
Btw, for the short uggs, when you say that you got a thing in mail a month later asking for $50 for duties, was that on top of the $200 you already paid?? Or was $200 like the total, including the $50? Thanks, sorry for all questions. |

Lol I know this sounds bad...but like, what if you don't HAVE the money for the duty?
I don't work because I find my school load too much, so my parents just put money in my bank account ...which I often just hord and spend all in one go on something (I save money by eating at home, lol) ...so like from time to time I may just have 20 bucks if I don't ask for money
I can see it now. "Well, you can look in my wallet, there's no money...oh here's a toonie!" LMAO. Does that mean you can't have your item? I'm assuming so, but how long do you have and what do they do with it otherwise? Stupid tax. |

im always afraid of buying stuff online in case it doesnt fit, but if you cant find them anywhere else then i would just buy them
i got mine at norstroms in seattle, i think that if the duty and stuff is super outrageous then it might just be cheaper to drive somewhere to buy them, plus then you get to shop in a different city for stuff that you dont have in ur own city _________________

Please don't get uggs!
They're overpriced, unoriginal, shapeless, ugly, get salt stained SO EASILY and aren't even good for winter.
I understand that this is your money and that if you really want them, you should get them but ask yourself: Do you really want uggs or are you only getting them because they're trendy? _________________ www.primmagazine.com |
