I've had my brushes for quite a few years, and have never washed them (bad, I know..)
I was just wondering how to do this? I have a blush brush, several eye shadow brushes, and a foundation brush (I've only had this for a week, so it hasn't been years since this one was clean).
Any suggestions would be appreciated Happy

I know at MAC they have special cleansers that you can use to clean any makeup brush with, I'm not sure how much they cost, but my friend uses them and they work great Happy

If you go to MAC they can explain how to clean the brushes properly.....
Also Clinique has some makeup brush cleansers as well.
Here's a Link to the Clinique cleanser.......

I think I read in a magazine that you could use baby shampoo. Just work the shampoo into the brush with warm water, and then rinse it out throughly...pat dry, and then let the rest air dry.

I never wash my brushes! I am so bad with that!

Check out this video it tells you how to make your own brush cleaner.

Check out his other video's as well he has awesome ideas! A good one is comparing MAC brushes to craft store brushes. They are pretty much exactly the same but so much cheaper. Plus a ton of other good stuff!

Yesterday at the mall, the lady @ the Chanel counter told me you can always wash your brushes in baby shampoo, once a week.

If they are real hair then you should definately get a brush cleaner. I use the mac one and it works great.
