Am I a horrible person for not feeling bad?
Maybe it's because I don't know him. Or worship him.
But I do feel bad for his wife and daughter, since losing someone is never easy.

i'm not gonna lie, i LOVED heath ledger, esp after those Knight's Tale days... i think it is so sad. it weird, i never thought he'd be the next star to go...
now its going to be so stange seeing him in the new batman movie.

He OD'd on sleeping pills, apparently.

I think it's sad. He was really young and had his daughter and a pretty good career.

I didn't really know a lot about him but it's sad, I wonder, if he did overdose, why? But yeah seeing him in the batman movie will be weird for sure.

I thought this was seriously the weirdest news of the day. It was so sudden and unexpected, he was probably one of the last actors I expected to die Sad

I feel so bad for his family and especially his daughter..

but people die all the time and its what you expect if its drug related

^but some people are saying it's not drug related...they thought it might've been due to illegal drugs but they did a full search in his room and that $20 bill next to him and nothing showed up.

^ From what I gather, he was taking a mixture of prescribed drugs, and I guess the combination was fatal. =( There hasn't been an official cause of death yet, just a bunch of rumours and allegations =(

I think people are upset because he was an actor of our generation. Most of us grew up watching him, and unlike most young celebrities, he wasn't rich and famous for being rich and famous. He was a talented young actor who took his job seriously, and fellow actors and his fans admire him for that. Sure, there are a lot of actors out there "acting" in movies, but there aren't a lot of actors of his calibre, and it's just sad to see someone like him die so young, when there was still so much for him to achieve. Also, his death was a huge surprise to many people. If Britney Spears or Pete Doherty were to suddenly die of a drug overdose, I doubt too many people would be surprised (not that I'm hoping they would or anything). It came to a surprise to his family, friends and fans. I'm not saying that other young people who die don't deserve the same mourning, but Heath Ledger is a "celebrity" and was (and still is) constantly in the public eye. The public mourning and sadness is expected and just part of the territory.

This is just my two cents, and in no way am I his number one fan... just another girl who grew up watching him.

I'm sad we lost him at such a young age because he was an artist. We weren't ready for him to die. It's like Rapheal dying so young.

About Jack Nicholson warning him...of course he did (I'm serious). He lost his life to acting and the Joker and he didn't want Heath Ledger to do the same. The man is insane. I was watching Five Easy Peices yesterday and the scene where he tells off the waitress, you can tell he hasn't past the point of needing pshycological help. Now, he is crazy. Watch anything that is recent of his... watch him being interveiwed... the guy is a nut case.
