So we're having a 20's cocktail party for AP US History in a few weeks and we have to pick someone to be. Guys have to be someone famous, but girls can just be a flapper. I'm going to be Greta Garbo because a) I look kind of like her and b) I love her style.

Greta Garbo is a movie actress, not a flapper

I'm on a tight budget, and probably going to get most of my stuff at a thrift store, but if you could post me some ideas it would be much appritiated.

you can wear like a fringe-y dress with black tights, complete with white beaded necklaces

i was a 20s flapper for halloween last year and i wore a tiered dress and i went to a thrift shop and got a strand of VERY long pearls.

ooh, it sounds so fun!
if you would like to wear something a little more casual, you could wear one of those hats with a rim (cloche hats) and a dress which doesnt give much silhouette.

Oh, sorry I didnt see the Greta is not a flapper thing. I guess my post wasnt much help then...Well I would just google her for pictures and try to imitate what she is wearing. IF you're on a budget check out value village or a place like that.
