If I had a MAC card I'd buy:

-contouring powder
-angled blush brush

It would go slightly over the limit probably but they're necessities. =P

But just for fun or whatever, you should find your holy grail l/g and def. get a Studio Fix powder.

For me, I only ever buy eye products from MAC, so I would probably pick up a new shade of Fluidline eyeliner, and a few shades of eyeshadow. I only really ever wear eye make-up so I wouldn't want to buy something I wouldn't really use that often. I never buy eye products from anywhere else .. none of them work as well as MAC.

But if you're in the market for face products, get them at MAC since you can get colour matched and they have a lenient exchange policy.

As for mascara/lipgloss, I used to be obsessed with lipglasses but now I've found I rarely use them and that a lot of drugstore lipglosses really just do the same thing for me. For mascara, I found many drugstore mascaras that work way better than MAC so I don't think it's worth the money.

In my opinion, often, the way you apply something is more important than the product itself, so maybe invest in a few good quality brushes that are suitable for the type of make-up you use.

I really love their make-up brushes. They are superb quality. Also, you can never go wrong with some basic eyeshadows (golds, beishes are a staple) and lipglosses.

i have never bought from MAC... its just so overwhelming in there, so many colors and choices!! and its pretty expensive to buy a product from there and find out you never use it. i've always wondered what the "must-haves" are...

^ MAC can be overwhelming but I always find the sales people sooo helpful. Just ask them what they think would look best and they will test them out on you aswell.

I got a $50 giftcard for MAC a few years ago, and being new to MAC, I just got 3 eyeshadows, which came to just a little over $50 I believe.

So I suggest eyeshadow and brushes. Just getting eyeshadow isn't as good.

like lady_h said, the eyeshadows from MAC are the only ones I trust, so I'd definitely get 1 or 2. the sales girls there are really helpful in finding a good shade and finish.
the brushes are around $25 and up and they're quite good. I'd get an eyeshadow brush for sure from there if you don't have one already.
Also like lady_h said, you should definitely try Fluidline eyeliner. It's a lot nicer than pencil/kohl liners! It's $18, but you'll need to get a brush with it. I got my brush from Benefit, though, because it was cheaper.
Their lipglass is alright, kinda sticky though. I've actually been recently looking for alternatives. I just got a Revlon Super Lustrous lipgloss and was hesitant at first b/c it's a drugstore brand but I found it almost as good as my MAC l/g!

ahh I can't wait for the spring stuff to come out!

ACK! This is right up my alley. MAC is something I adore with my life, once you go MAC you never go back!!

Kay, so personally I'm uber excited about this new LE line they have coming out called Fafi it's to anniversarize Mac Barbie.

ANYWAYS! I think you should wait it out because there's a couple blushes, gorgeous iridescent powders, and some really 'spring' coloured paint pots. Also the lipsticks and lipglasses look like really nice colours for fairer skintones. (not sure if you are) And the packaging is also going to be really cute.

So you have my opinion which is wait for it, if you don't like anythig you can always just pick-up a couple shadows. Right now I'm longing for mauve, and a rose gold. So yup..

If you dont have their brushes then I would buy some. I myself would probably buy more eyeshadows and maybe a gloss because I already have a bunch of brushes and foundation and blush. You can always use more eyeshadow though! Happy
