| I thought they were going to open Hollister/Abercrombie in Pacific Center along with all the other stores going in where Holts used to be-but it looks like most of the stores there have been announced and it doesn't look like they're going in :S |

Hey Angela,
Thanks for emailing us about our future store locations.
We’re always looking for new opportunities at Hollister. While it’s possible we might open a new store in Alberta some day, we don’t have any plans to do so at the moment.
But we do have other stores in Ontario and do have plans to open one in British Columbia.
You can find more Hollister stores here. And remember, you can always shop for the latest merchandise at hollisterco.com.
BTW, it’s always great to hear from an awesome Hollister shopper like you.

but my friends have. _________________

^^abercrombie and hollister are from the same company...except that Hollister is cheaper and Abercrombie is quite expensive, in my opinion. (I find that the Abercrombie Kids stuff is just as nice but cheaper.) Also, Hollister is, I guess, more casual like American Eagle but Abercrombie is more grownup. (anyone correct me if I'm wrong!)
And American Eagle Outfitters is a different company but is very much like Hollister (similar prices, styles of clothing.) _________________ used to be 'sw33tlilhugz' on the old f18. (; |

Yeah Langley does NOT seem like the place they would choose to start up A&F in BC :S |

| ^ Yeah, that's definitely true. But then again, I would have definitely expected them to open the first H&M location in B.C. in Vancouver...and they opened it in Coquitlam! |

Doesn't surprise me that they wouldn't open up one in Vancouver.
If they open up one here then basically all their washington stores loose a lot of business from us Vancouverites that travel down so often.
So in their eyes, they've already satisfied our A&F/Hollister needs |

it turns out abercrombie was at willowbrook a long long time ago
but they closed it, my friend went there and asked if there was one, but nope.
H&M isn't only in coquitlam, it's at pacific centre
which is basically downtown _________________

For Ontarians:
| Quote: | Hey Stephanie,
Thanks for emailing us about your idea for a new store in Oshawa.
We’re always looking for new opportunities at Hollister. While it’s possible we might open a store in Oshawa some day, we don’t have any plans to do so at the moment. It looks like we are opening a new store in the Bayshore Mall in Ottawa, but we don't have a date on when it will be opening.
You can find more Hollister stores here. And remember, you can always shop for the latest merchandise at hollisterco.com.
BTW, it’s always great to hear from an awesome Hollister shopper like you.

^ actually, they were right, they are two different companies.
Abercrombie and Fitch being the original store that dates back to the late 1800s and has evovled into a store for young adults, being fairly expensive. Hollister is also owned by the same company and targets a younger age group, and is also less expensive. The story of it being aroung since 1922 is made up, but helps to set the feel of the surfer beachy Hollister California idea.
American Eagle on the other hand is owned by a different company from Pensyllvania. Here's what WikiPedia had to say (although Wikipedia can be wrong sometimes I believe this information is fairly accurate.
| Quote: | Other brands
In addition to its namesake brand, American Eagle, the company has developed and announced plans for several new brand and concept initiatives poised to drive new growth as the American Eagle brand nears saturation in current markets. One already launched brand being Aerie.
The company's second stand-alone lifestyle concept, Martin + Osa, launched in the fall of 2006, targets men and women 25 to 40 years of age.
The company has also indicated that a third lifestyle concept is in development that analysts speculate could be aimed at Baby Boomers (Born during 1945–65 period), and may offer homewares.
In the year 2001, the company acquired a Canada-based retail concept called Bluenotes, which has approximately 100 stores averaging 3,300 square feet. The concept targeted a slightly younger demographic, ages 12-22, and was positioned as a denim-driven urban/suburban lifestyle brand. Due largely to poor performance, the Bluenotes business was sold to YM Inc. in 2004.
The line Aerie was announced in February 2006 as an intimate apparel sub-brand offering bras, panties, and dorm wear targeting American Eagle's core 15- to 25-year-old demographic segment. |
