Okay, so I've been going to the gym to work out lately, ["Yay me!" *claps hands* ( ;] and for the machines I go on, it measures my heartrate. However, my heartrate always exceeds the targeted heartrate, and I know that's a bad thing, because my heartrate always goes up so high.
What kinds of workouts should I do to keep my heartrate down? |

Just slow down the intensity of your workout.
Remember, your maximum is 220 - Age.
You want to keep your target heart rate at around 70-80% of that total. _________________

^ When you say slow down the intensity, you mean by just going at a slower pace, right? IE: If im on the bike, I just peddle at a slower pace, right?
Oh dear, I'm perceiving myself as a dunce, aren't I |

^Yupp, if you're going at a slower pace your HR should go down. _________________
