Hey Guys!
I'm not new to Fashion18 but I am new to this new version, in fact this is my first post. So...hey everyone!!! Happy

Ok so unfortunately I have really yellow teeth. They're SLIGHTLY whiter when I just finish brushing them, but they're still nowhere near as white as I'd like them to be! I am so embarassed to open-mouth smile, and I want that to change.

Unfortunately I can't afford to get a whitening from a dentist, so what have you guys tried that has worked?? Or do you have someone you know who had success with something? I'm fine with anything, like an overnight or day product, or something you spray on/paint on or WHATEVER. I know there's like a whole kit at Sephora....I hear it's expensive, but if I knew for sure it worked then I'd definitely buy it!!

Alright thanks guys!! :icon_yahoo:

^They worked super well for me. But the results lasted around 6 months... mind you I drink ALOT of coffee so that could have affected the longevity of my white teeth.

So I just switched toothpastes a week or so ago and already I've noticed my teeth are whiter! I used Crest Whitening Tartar Control before and now I'm using Crest Prohealth that came as a bonus at Costco, and it's aweessooome.

has anyone tried those listerine ones?
they dissolve when you have them on.
I just want abit of feedback on them because i'm hearing good stuff about the crest whitestrips.

thanks. Happy

I used crest white strips and i loved them!!! they make your teeth sensitive an are a bit annoying to wear everyday but they do work!! I did it in april and may for prom but i think i should do it again ive heard the tooth pastes do not work or it takes the WHOLE tube to get your teeth better and it takes a long time to finish a whole tube

I just started using them last night. One tooth got struck with pain twice in that half hour. It felt like getting a cavity removed on it. The other teeth were fine.
Hate. But hopeful.

I haven't tried whiteners yet, but I'm trying to find a good brand. However, in my opinion, if your teeth start to hurt and get sensitive from it, I think you should stop....I think it's your body's way of telling you that you're harming and weakening it and maybe other problems might come up years from now. I would personally hate to have sensitive teeth for the rest of my life!
I hate yellow teeth though so I'm hoping eventually products will improve and maybe there will be a way around these side effects. sorry for the rant haha :P

okay, so the crest whitestrips feedback is great.
but I want to hear about the listerine ones. 'cause those dissolve, just like their pocket packs, you know?
anyone tried them?

^my friend asked her dentist about that and she said there's nothing to worry about, they're safe to use.
but if that's true, i dont understand why they make my teeth so damn sensitive... :S

i heard that crest white strips are basically chlorine, which i heard is very bad for your teeth and people have recommended arm and hammer whitening tooth paste over the white strips because its not as harmful.

I used the premium crest whitestrip for around $30. I put them on 2 times a day for 30 min. I actually noticed them turning really white on the 4th day. I didnt think they would be so effective, but I am really glad I used them.

Crest whitestrips premium plus are really good. I just started using them recently and teeth are noticeably whiter and brighter. The box claims after three days you start to see results and its true. The only thing is your teeth become sensitive for a bit but then it goes away after a few days. As well, i got small white spots on my teeth but those are also temporary.

I just bought Crest Whitestrips classic, and after the first day I swear they were whiter. I'm on the third day and they are definitely getting whiter. For those of you who have experienced sensitivity, it's normal and because of the hydrogen peroxide. Everyone's different though. I haven't noticed any yet..knock on wood. They're easy to use too! And safe for your enamel.

My friend used Crest Whitestrips after she got her braces off and she used like half the box and her teeth were unbelievably white. They still are, actually. And it's been about a year and a half...

Can someone tell me the difference between crest whitestripes premium plus and crest white stripes? Is there a huge difference or is one designed to work different?

^Yeah I was wondering that as well.

I think the only whitening thing I'd ever try would be the toothpastes. When I got my braces off my teeth were SO white but now they're less white.

^^ I think it's the percentage of hydrogen peroxide, and possibly the length of time it lasts and you need to wear them.
