The New iPods!

Has anyone seen them yet? It's been all over the news. I'm thinking of getting the new iPod Nano 8GB in product(RED) or the blue one.

It looks like the iPod Classic (the new name for the bigger iPod), and looks like it's bigger than the old nano, but I'm watching the video on the announcement of it (Steve Jobs' Keynote Address) and it's actually pretty small. It's a bit smaller than the old nano height-wise, but fatter width-wise (it looks to be about the size of 2 shuffles)... BUT it plays videos, and has a bigger screen.

I think they come out in stores on September 14th.

There's also the "new" refreshed iPod Shuffles.. but they only have new colours.

There's the iPod Classic with more space, cheaper, and a nicer case (all metal).

And then there's the iPod Touch that is almost exactly like the iPhone except that it has less memory (comes only in 8GB and 16GB storage capacities)... but has built-in wireless internet capability (meaning you can connect to the internet wherever it's available wirelessly) with a built-in internet browser, iTunes Music Store, and a YouTube video application.

i've seen the ipod touch and i like that just because the screen looks so big. the new ipod nano that you posted looks cute! and of course, the bigger screen is definitely good. 8)

the touch looks very cool, but as for the nano... i dunno. i find the screen on my 30g almost too small to watch videos on. so it might tough on a nano (even tho it is a bigger screen than before)

I really like the new nanos. And I am so happy that the videos are now cheaper. I might be able to get one now (my old old ipod nano is running out of room). They start at only $249!!

Dude, I had to ship off quite a few of them (3rd Gen. iPod Nano) at work earlier this week...

The hues are grotesque. Strange as my comment may be, but whenever I see them, I think of giraffe vomit. Plus the size of the screen seems rediculous. If I wanted to watch vids on an iPod, I'd just spring for the iPod Video.

Ipods are only this wanted because of all of the hype, advertising, and the brand.

BUT I love the new nanos. At first, in the commercial with the feist song, I thought it looked like it sucked, and was too small. I went to Best Buy and saw it up close, it's soo cute! It can fit in your hand, it's pretty thin, and the screen is a comfortable size. I really want the itouch though!

^True. But the hype was also started with the first ipod... and how everybody who had it loved it... and the "hype" (or you could just call it popularity at this point) grew since then.

Personally, it's the best mp3 player I've had/used. Aside from the ipod (nano 1st gen, ipod+video - now the classic, nano 3rd gen), I've used maybe 5 other mp3 players so far and this one is by far, the best one.

My friend got one, it's so small. But it's nice. I don't like (on the nano) how the screen is cut in half to show pictures....it bugs me.

i want a new ipod sooo bad because mine is only 4 gb and almost full...

i bought it last year so it isn't all that bad so i am just planning on waiting another year until my warranty finishes.

I got my iPod under a month ago and I hate it.
I don't care how pretty it is, it's annoying!
And I hate iTunes too.
I don't even like Macintosh computers.

I use iPod for three reasons

A) Good Quality (sound)
B)Nice aesthically pleasing music library with a store
C) They are becoming the genaric and have easy to find components for cheap.

I'd love to get a Nano, but they don't have enough space -_- I need least 10 gigs...and the sucky thing is, I totally broke my 20 gig iPod like two weeks ago! I'm waiting to get a 16 gig touch...but I don't trust the products yet, it usually takes at LEAST half a year for Apple to work out the kinks on a new product...
