Today I learned that putting waxpaper inside an oven causes smoking that will eventually lead to fires.

I was baking cookies and thought parchment paper was the same as wax paper, so I put the cookies on wax paper on the baking sheets and then smoke started coming out of the oven. Go me!

What was your lesson?

^Haha yeah I've always been pretty calm when it comes to baking related problems. One time I lit an oven mitt on fire (while I was wearing it) and my mom freaked out and I just looked at it and was like, "oh, fire", only I don't think I sounded as dumb as I made myself sound.

But anyway, maybe this could be a sticky??
And could one of the mods please move it to the In The News/Today section.

^Yeah, It's a great idea, I love it.

We should dumb our selves down and say something like

"Today I learned that Albuquerque isn't the capital of New Mexico" or something. And just laugh at it because then it makes you feel better about yorself.

i learned that the tim hortons near my school doesn't actually bake fresh muffins, donuts, etc.
i saw an employee loading them from a car and bring them into the store.
slightly dissapointing. Confused

Today I learned that modeling is NOT a good career for me (not that I was considering it.)
My friend needed me to pose for his photography project and I felt really awkward the whole time having a camera shoved in my face.
But at least the pictures turned out nice.

I learned you can't get a transfer ticket on to the same bus. eg. on the way home from the mall, i can't stop at another store and then hop back on that same bus. Confused

My lesson of the day is that my imagination is too strong for my own good. I'm really messed up.

In my creative photo class, she gave us five pictures and we have to use at least four in our final product. Anyway, the pictures are:
n orange sliced in the middle, just the inside of it
pencils, at a weird, annoying angle that you can't do anything with.
feet of a little girl, her ankles down in gross purple sparkley shoes and grass covering up, so it makes it hard to clone the flowers that are on her shoes into the picture.
an old chevy truck at a stupid angle.
and a dragonfly, this one is probably the best and easieat to work with.

Anyway, I took the orange and made it into a sun, with legs that have black and white socks. It didn't look like a sun until I put a picture of a sun behind it and applyed a blend filter.
I had to clone the socks all the way up her legs so it looked cooler.

Then I clone grass.

Then I made clouds.

I added the dragonfly.

I tried using those flowers that were on her shoes, but it looked weird. So I didn't.

Only two more pictures I have to include.

It looks trippy. Maybe I'll post it when I'm finished.

Always tell your mom that you already bought something for your dad before she buys the same thing for you so that you can give it to him. Lol, its a difficult concept.
