tell me about it. but in all honesty EVERYONE is getting owned in functions at my school. now they're trying to compensate by giving us these easy assignments but when the unit tests come along we all get screwed over anyway and the fact that it's a new course doesn't help either.
i could be getting an awesome average if it weren't for this freaking course. |

How do you guys already have midterms. When is your Winter Break? Do you guys just have four or five periods a day then switch classes after the semester. I have all of these questions.
btw, we have six a day, forth hour is two hours, but a half an hour of that we have lunch. The other five periods are 45 minutes. Plus our Student New Programm after fifth hour. _________________

it's basically a continuation of grade 11 math. in ontario they decided to change the math curriculum (and screw us all over) by combining geometry and discrete math with calculus making the new course calculus and vectors and another course that is a co-requisite with it called functions. it's basically algebra, trig, logarithms, polynomials, exponents all in a math course. kinda like pre-calculus. there's a lot of graphing in it as well. |

at my school we go to school five days a week from 8:55 - 3:15. we have four classes that are 75 minutes long each, and forty minutes to eat inbetween 2nd & 3rd period. Our break starts the weekend of Dec 21st and goes until January 7th. The semester here is officially done sometime at the end of January... The 21st I think? For the second semester we have 4 different classes a day than first sem. You get 8 credits every year, which should total 32, but only 30 are needed to graduate. |

^ and ^^: yup, I'm in grade 10 and in a non-semestered school. So we have the same 8 courses during the whole year but we have a "day one" and a "day two" where we have 4 different classes for each day. I find it kinda hard to keep up with everything in this type of school though because you have to remember all the different things from different subjects at the same time. _________________ used to be 'sw33tlilhugz' on the old f18. Semester one:
Functions - 91
Biology - 95
Physics - 90
English - 94
Average: 92.5%
Would've liked to get that math up. I had a 93% but it dropped to 90 after the summative (which I got a 70 on). At least I managed to bring it up one with the exam. _________________
