Ok, this would be more of a "work" question but it is semi related to clothes and I figured I'd get more of a response here (sh, I'm a veteran member, I'm allowed to break the rules!)
Anyway, I just got a job interview at *drumroll please* Aritzia! Of course, I am tres excited but at the same time very nervous. I haven't had very much luck in the past with job interviews, and I also recently started working at a shoe store so I will be working two jobs at once (I've already talked to my manager at job #1 about working less).
So...what do I wear? Do you think it'd be the end of the world if I dressed in clothes that weren't actually from Aritzia (most of my stuff from there is summerish). I'd probably be going to the interview right after school, and I'm not sure what to do with my hair (which really needs a cut) and my makeup. Any suggestions?
Also, does anyone here work there? Anything I should bring up in the interview that would help (I recently went to New York for Teen Vogue Fashion U and feel I should bring that up). I heard Aritzia doesn't always like lots of retail experience, so do you think my other job would hurt me?
And can anyone tell me anything about working conditions? Employee discounts? Anything?
I would be so so grateful.
My interview is on Monday, btw.
Thank you! _________________ www.primmagazine.com |

Thats awesome! Working at Aritzia would be amazing.
Anyway, I know a couple people who work there.. and they both have unique, very fashionable, style. Looking at the salespeople it seems that Aritzia really wants people who are interested in fashion and are very current with trends (not fashion victims) but have their own unique style.
So, take a lot of time to figure out your outfit. I would not say that having clothes from Aritzia would be a necessity (although i have seen a group interview and all the girls were decked out in head to toe Aritzia). But.. I think it would be better to go a bit high end with some pieces. Mixing it up though.. making it unique.
As for the interview, just be very confident and outgoing. For sure mention going to the Teen Vogue U. Make sure you tell them about your love of fashion. And I would think that they will probably ask you about your style so think about that. And most of all just remember that they looked at your resume and decided to ask for an interview, so they already are interested in hiring you. |

| This girl from my school works there, she is in grade 12. She has the most unique and cool style I have ever seen. Just dress the way of displaying your personality, and do not worry about wearing their clothes. It may look like your trying too hard. |
