My school's winter semi-formal is next Thursday, and all I have is my dress from last year. I don't really want to buy a new dress, I'd rather get some use out of one I already have. Here's my idea to make my dress a little older, and a little different:

what do you think? any tips or ideas? i think it would be pretty easy to do, all i need are some scissors and a sewing machine, which my mom could help me with.

yeah, i think that it would look cute like that with the straps (i think it's cute the way you wore it last year too though!)
and if you would like some more detail, you could always sew on a wide metallic colour ribbon sash or sew on sequins.
show us pictures when you finish! (or if you decide to buy a new one, show us the new one you bought too!) Very Happy
