x___X
I think I'm a pretty healthy eater. My only food vice is the chocolatey stuff, I'm not all that into fast food or chips, etc...
but I'm afraid I'm eating too much at dinner time!!! ):
And I've recently lost a lot of weight. And I'm in a good place right now so I would like to keep my weight! D: But I'm just afraid I'm eating too much at dinner and I don't know how to stop!
Help me before I become a balloon! _________________ [aka mitsukoshi]

hmm one thing i heard is the more food on your plate the more you'll eat, so i think it would be good to put a good amount of food, not too much and not too little, on your plate and just eat that and dont put any more food
i also heard that you should eat until youre full
hope that helps:) |

| Use a smaller plate. Fill up the plate with what you want and just eat that. If you use a bigger plate you will try to eat more. Thats why when you goto resteraunts you are always stuffed because they use huge plates!! |

Just promise yourself that you WILL stop eating when you are full
I have the opposite problem. I snack all the time and eat not much for dinner, lol |

| You could also eat an apple before dinner so that it fills you up a bit and then you arent starving and overeating. I also read in a magazine that eating off of a blue plate helps you to eat less because it depresses the appetite. Red does the opposite and makes you eat more. |

eat slower
apparently if you scarf down your food you dont feel full so you're more likely to eat more. if you eat slower then you'll actually feel full when you ARE full. _________________

1. smaller plates
2. big glass of water before you eat
3. eat a a couple veggies before you eat your main course
4. pace yourself. it takes 20 minutes for you stomach to signal your brain that you're full, so slow down a little and listen to your body!
i used to do the same thing but soooomehow my stomach has shrunk and i eat a lot less now! woo _________________

hmmmmm well then iguess you just gotta try some old-fashioned self control. i used to do the same thing but just slow down and make a deal with yourself that when you begin to feel full you'll just put your fork down for a few minutes and then if you REALLY wanna stop, you'll stop!
i hope this helped even a little! _________________

| I also heard that if you put your food on a bigger plate it makes you feel like you are eating more ( im not talking about filling a big plate with food) Put a small/regular size amount on a big plate and try that?? Rice is a very good filler, rather than rolls/breads |

RULE #1: Never over fill yourself. Just eat enough so you're not hungry. And drink water. Also like everyone else said: maybe you should take a smaller plate and put everything you like.
But beside all of that, if you don't want to gain weight but you want to eat. EXERCISE! It helps so much.
Running and bike riding helps A LOT. Believe me.
I train basketball and I'm not over weight but I eat alot. I also eat at night, which is not good for me. But I can't gain weight.
The best thing to prevent yourself from gaining weight is exercising (walking, running, bike riding, roller blading, w/e makes you move...). _________________

I watched TLC's I Can Make You Thin and his theories really work!
one idea is to of course, eat slower, chew slower (which you can also savour the flavour) and try eating with your eyes closed. when I say eyes closed, it's because when you look at your food, you're pushed to finish it all.
one of his tests had 10 people in a diner eat a huge plate of food for breakfast. they ate it all with their eyes open. the next day, some people didn' even finish 3/4's of it, 'cause their they could feel full faster by concentrating on the food and their stomachs, not what you had to finish. I hope that makes sense to you.
I hope I helped! =) _________________

| Eat small meals every 3 hours to keep your metabolism going. And keep your servings small - servings of pasta should be no bigger than a loose fist, and meat should be as big as your fist or the palm of your hand max. |

if you just eat until you can't eat anymore.. i think it's more of a self-control issue. i've got that problem too, and in all, i think eating slowly is the best help since you have time to digest your food.
knowing that, it's qutie difficult and it doesn't usually work =( _________________ formerly sugarr
