Okay so I just need to vent because I'm kind of mad. Or more likely just annoyed. Tonight I asked my boyfriend to go out for coffee, and I asked him through a text since I knew he'd be at soccer when I asked so he could just reply to me after, but then he replied asking if everything was okay. And I said not really. He asked what was wrong. I asked him if he really wanted to have this conversation through texting. And he just asked if we were breaking up. And of course I said yes, since that was the reason I wanted to go for coffee but ugh why did he have to do it through texting. Where's the closure in that?
Gahh it just makes me mad because that was one of the things I didn't like about him. He couldn't just talk to me. When he had to tell me something personal he said he couldn't tell me to my face and would rather text it, so yeah I let him since I didn't want to upset him since I knew it was personal but God, it's just kind of annoying that he'd do that when we were breaking up. Grow some balls already!!
And the other reason I wanted to meet up is because I wanted to give him the necklace he gave me back. For my birthday he got me a $200.00 necklace and that was only after dating a month. So now I want to give it back because I really don't think I should have it since I know I won't wear it, and honestly we only dated for like 2 months so I don't think I should have it!
BAH!!!!
...just had to get that out.
Also, do you guys think I should give the necklace back? _________________

Keep the necklace, at least til he asks for it back (if he does). I'd feel guilty wearing the necklace if he wanted it back, but then again if he did that would be lame of him.
Pawn it. XD
Sucks about breaking up over text, he wanted to make it impersonal or something it seems. I dunno. But I guess you had to do what you had to do.
Better luck next time around though! |

I think I'm just going to keep the necklace. I'm not wearing it anymore though, but I'll give it back if it he asks for it, but I don't see him doing that since that would involve confrontation and clearly that is not his forte. _________________

i think that in this case, you should just keep it. i mean, he gave it to you one month ago, right? so even if you give it back, he can't return it and i highly doubt that he would give that necklace to a different girl he likes later on.
before the summer, this guy really liked me and he asked me out, giving me this stuffed animal that his friends said he saved up a lot of his money for...but i didnt like him. and when i told him i didnt like him, he had already handed me the stuffed animal and he just walked away so i didnt have a chance to give it back. so a few days after, i asked his (and my) friends if they could give it back to him for me but they said that he probably would just want me to keep it. so your exboyfriend would probably rather have you keep it than him take it back. _________________ used to be 'sw33tlilhugz' on the old f18. I really don't think you should be mad at the guy. I mean, you just broke up with him. So YOU dumped HIM....through TEXTING. For me, anyone who dumps someone through texting is the one who's pathetic. Not saying you are, because he's the one who provoked it and asked the question. The least you can do was tell him that you really want to tell it to his face. I don't think you should be upset from this.
and keep the necklace. He wouldn't want it anyways. |
