It's a website that you join for FREE, and you list books that you have and want to get rid of and search for books you want to read that other people have and want to give away.
You pay nothing but postage and gain point everytime you give a book away (you need points to get a book)
So basically, you trade books!
Anybody tried it or something similar? (I haven't, but I'm interested!)
And i just thought it was something a lot of you might be interested in (all us bookworms)
http://bookmooch.com/
And it kind of got me thinking... maybe we could try something like that on here, a small version on f18? don't know if it could work tho, so let's discuss! _________________

That sounds pretty cool. I'm almost tempted to sign up, only there aren't any books that I have that I really want to give away. And you have to give a book to receieve one right?
I don't know if there are enough people on F18 to do this? We could maybe do a different swap thing where it doesn't have to be just books so more people could participate? _________________

Yea, that's a really good idea! But like DeadDisco said, I don't have any books to give away as well. :S Maybe we could do one within the F18? _________________

What if we did like a Holiday exchange? We'll set a limit to spend, and then stalk (Just joking!) the person to figure out what she likes and put together a small package with a card and everything! That would be fun What do you all think? |

I think that would be a sweet idea.
People who wanted to participate could list a few things they are interested in and then someone would have to be in charge, aka not participate in the actually exchange, and then assign a person to a person. _________________

What if you didn't actually tell anyone what you wanted? You could just look at their posts, wishlists and what not so you can really suprise them.
Let's see if more people are interested in participating.
Maybe we should move this somewhere else or start a new thread in another more read thread so people will know about it |

The secret santa thing is really interesting!!! How would it work though? Wouldn't there be too much private information about? Like addresses and stuff?
But so kewl, I'd love to be apart of this! Someone should pitch the idea to jousy~ _________________ [aka mitsukoshi]

^Well I'm guessing it would only be with people who are willing to give up their private information such as their address. Also there should probably be a minimum of posts a person has before they can participate. _________________

| If you want to talk about the Secret Santa thing, go to the thread with that name in Anything Goes. |
