i got the most amazing bat girl costume at some toy store, it was $50 and really good quality, not like the ones you would buy at wal mart or sanfrancisco (altho it seems like the wal mart ones are pretty good this year) _________________

I was at Old Navy and they have the cutest little kid costumes, like hot dogs and chickens and stuff. Oo and then they had ones for dogs, so I was going to get my puppy one, it was a purple cape and crown, but I didnt.
Back to your question, you could always search online to find ideas. |

It's always a good idea to start early, cause then you can kind of build your costume yourself. Last year I was a cowgirl and I did that, I started in like September and I just ended up borrowing a lot of the stuff I wore, and that way you save money because you don't really want to spend tons on a costume you'll only wear once.
And I would definitely say Value Village and other thrift/vintage stores would be your best bet, though it does depend on what kind of costume you're looking for. |

| ^ I would, except since I used stuff that was mine and just altered it so after Hallowe'en I kinda got rid of everything. I can describe it to you though. I had this red skirt I made, and the material was velevety, and I wore a crinolin underneath so when I spun around it was floofy. It was about knee length. Then I had a black sweater that I sewed a giant red heart on and used a red ribbon as a belt. I wore a crown and had this glittery wand that had a star on top. I sewed a mini heart around the star and stuffed it. I wore black fishnets (couldn't choose between red/black) and black 1" heels. |
