"Bling" !!!

This fun, exciting new "rewards system" enables you to earn "bling"
for each topic you start, each reply you receive to your topic, etc.!
You can donate bling to each other like "smiles" if you wish.
The bling system complements the smiles system wonderfully because users cannot remove bling from each other!
This "bling" concept is similar to the "cash" system found on some other forums BUT it's specially customized (created by forumwise.com, customized by me ;)_orange

Note-
Bling will not be earned for posts in the following forums:
Quizzes/Polls/Surveys
Humor/Jokes
Games
Buy/Sell/Trade
Newbies

I'm kind of confused. Okay I get the whole everytime someone replies, you get a bling.

But, when you donate one, can that person see it. I had two, and I don't know how. And I can't view who sent them. Then I tried sending one to someone who deserved it just to see what would happen (Merry Christmas DeadDisco) and I saw the message thing, which made me believe even further that somehow we could view who sent it to use.

And now, I only have one bling. Confused? That I am.

EDIT: Now I have four!

Well if you had two, and then you donated one to me, you gave that one up. That's why you only had one after that.
And then now you have 4.. actually 5 (Merry Christmas as well) because you either made more posts or got some donated??

I just want to know how you see the messages people send with the bling.

it kinda reminds me of neopets, how we used to have to earn neopoints! 8) and i think that it's really fair that you wont be able to earn bling in the selected forum sections. Very Happy

Ok! To those of you who has some questions:

1) When you receive a bling donation from someone, you should get a private message saying "You have recieved a donation from ______". The message will state how much bling was donated to you and will also include the message that the user wrote to you if he/she wrote one. Happy

2) You will keep getting bling for every reply you receive to a thread that you've started in addition to the bling that you receive fro starting threads and posting.

^I'm pretty sure you only get a PM if they leave a message. Because borderlinefrenzy sent me some and I never got a PM, but then when she sent one with a message, I recieved a PM.

^I'm actually for that to change, but maybe have a box that one can check when she doesn't want the person to know who sent it. I'm getting mysterious bling and I have no idea who sent them to me.

I can't change the notification system because it's the support staff's department.

I'd suggest that when you donate bling, write something in the message box, even if it's just a happy face. That way, it's less confusing. :icon_thumbsup:

^^I'd say the "mysterious bling" you're getting are from replies to posts that you've started in the past. Happy
