It's opening on the corner of Yonge & Dundas tomorrow! Is anyone going to the opening? If so, let us all know how it is! I would love to go tomorrow, but I'm going to a party instead, so I might be going the following week or something. Who's excited?? Haha I know I've been waiting for soo long for F21 to finally hit Toronto!

^ 2 floors.

I went on Saturday in the afternoon and it was packed... huge lineups for the change room and at the cash registers. And plenty of fathers and boyfriends sitting on the side, waiting as their daughters and girlfriends shopped around, lol.

It was pretty amazing!! Ahh I love that store so much. The first floor wasn't that great, as in I didn't really find anything I liked except those yellow skinny jeans which also came in a cornflower blue colour, red, and pink I think. All the jewellery and stuff is on the first floor too. The 2nd floor has tons more clothes and it's all so cute! I'd totally buy up the whole store if I could. I found all of the stuff that I wanted except the first 2 bow tops, and I ended up getting the plaid top which I absolutely adore. I was gunna get the blue embroidered top too but it was more expensive than I thought it would be, and I'll just keep looking till I find that perfect Mexican dress *sigh*. There's nothing on sale though, I guess F21 doesn't usually have sales? But it's definitely worth checking out, lots of great stuff and affordable prices too! Oh, and the doors on the change rooms are so awesome. They're this gorgeous green colour and I love the oversized gold knob hahaha.

What was the price range for F21 in Toronto? I know that brands tend to mark up quite significantly between American and Canadian prices, but from the feedback here, the prices are still extremely affordable?

And I think F21 do have maybe 2 sales a year. I've seen some sale items in NYC.

@apple: The markups were actually a lot more than what they should be, but then again I kind of expected it since they can do that and they know people will still buy the stuff. Like a shirt that costs $17.80 USD costs $24.80 CAD and another shirt that cost $19.80 USD cost $27.80 CAD. Which is a LOT more than it should be since right now the USD is pretty close to the CAD and they say by the end of this summer, 1 CAD might even = 1 USD which is pretty amazing! But even at the Canadian prices, it's still very affordable.

And that's great, I didn't know F21 had sales =)

^Yeah I heard that for each item, they only have a few in each size for each. I guess it's because F21 has so much stuff with new stuff coming in daily. So if you really want something from there, you should go and buy it quickly before it's all gone!

i was in there on friday and some girl behind me when i was waiting in line for the changeroom was talking on her cell phone saying, "i dont know why forever 21 is so popular and why everyone loves it, its like american stitches" do people think that? id never heard that before. ive had a dress from there that i bought in new york last year, wore it many times and it remained in great condition, not like the poorly sewn and executed clothes that ive bought from stitches in the past Confused

^^^No I don't believe that. First of all, the styles of clothing at F21 and Stitches are WAY different. Stitches has more urban wear and plain stuff with logos (like the "Exco" hoodies, sweats, tees/tanks), whereas F21 is definitely filled with more trendy items. Secondly, I find F21's quality MUCH BETTER than Stitches. I've had this black top from F21 which I've had for about 2 years now and it's still in good condition, despite a bit of pilling. And also, the atmosphere and the way the stores are set up is really different. I know for most people that probably seems pointless and doesn't matter, but I think it does. Like if you feel comfortable in a store, you'll spend more time in there, shop around more, and possibly buy more and look forward to coming back to the store. I personally like F21's store layout a lot better because it seems more chic and I like how not everything is crammed so close together, like Stitches. It makes it easier to find a certain item, though I will admit the merchandise is scattered everywhere and quite messy.

^ Yeah, but that's because there is sooo much clothing in the store! I mean, there is such a variety! It cators for a range of different people with different styles, that's what I love about it. And I agree that the setting and environment is important to a store. I love the patterning in the walls and the layout--- and how it's not pitch black like Hollister. And comparing Forever XXI to Stitches is outrageous. Stitiches quality sucks. A tank that I bought there tore the 2nd time wearing it (seriously). I've had a Forever XXI denim skirt which hasn't frayed whatsoever and I'm still wearing it.
But I'm pretty bummed that the prices are so high compared to the online costs. The first time I went to Forever was in West Ed. My skirt online was like $19.80. But I bought it stores for $35.80. :/

^ Shocked $19.80 and you bought it for $35.80?!?!
Damn, that's almost double the price. That is so ridiculous.

I just stopped by yesterday and they have so much new stuff! Seems like everyday there's new products so if you see something you want, you better get it fast otherwise it will probably be gone next time. There was so much nice stuff that I wanted to get, but I know I've been spending way too much money lately so I avoided getting anything. But maybe I'll go back next week and see if I can get some stuff...let's hope they still have it =P

I didn't think the prices were so bad.
Everything I looked at was like 22.50
and jeans were all less than 30.00
that seems about right Confused

^The prices of jeans were mostly just under $30 which I thought was great, but as for tops, most of them I saw were $27.80 and some were $24.80. On the site, the same tops that were $27.80 CAD in stores, were $19.80 USD on the site, which I find ridiculous. And the ones that were $24.80 CAD in stores were $17.80 USD on the site.
