|
|
Alright, so when I was in Hong Kong I got my hair chemically straightened because the humidity completely ruined it. She said that it would last for a few months, and when I first got back to Vancouver 2 months after getting it done it was still as straight as when I had first gotten it done.
However, last week I had my hair highlighted. Since then, I've noticed my hair has basically gone to normal-luckily it isn't too wavy it's just more of an annoyance that I have to straighten it all the time again.
I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Does one chemical "cancel out" the other?? |

Yeah but when I washed my hair before coloring it, it still came out really straight from just blow drying it. But the first time I washed it after coloring it my hair was all over the place again |

| Quote: | | Depending on the length of your hair, every 2 to 3 months is the average time between straightenings. If you decide to grow it out, i.e. go back to curly, some curl will return overtime to the straightened hair but it will only be completely gone when it's cut out. If you decide to colour your hair again, you will have to wait until the straightened hair has been cut out as the colour over the old straightened hair is damaging. You can however, use a semi/non permanent colour with no problems. |
Maybe the colour just damaged it to much now since it was probably going to start wearing off aswell. |
