Does anybody know if you get overtime pay if you work on New Years Eve?
I know you'll get overtime pay if you work on Christmas Day itself, or New Years Day .. but what about Christmas Eve or New Years Eve? And this is a stretch, but what about Boxing Day? |

| If you work in a mall, you usually get paid overtime for New Year's Eve and Christmas Eve. Hope that helps! |

At my work you don't get paid overtime new years eve, but new years day. _________________

| xlady_tee - that sucks! Actually, I had to work christmas eve, boxing day, and new years DAY. My coworker was pretty hungover-I'm glad I didn't really party hard the night before. |

| Christmas Day and New Years Day are holidays so you do get overtime pay and do not have to work these days. New Years Eve is not a holiday so you do not get overtime. Boxing Day is an optional holiday - depends on your employer |
