^ I know! Plus some of the characters don't match what I thought.

Like I didn't imagine Blair the way she looks on the show, and I kinda thought Nate would be better looking.

AND JENNY! She is completely different. She's supposed to be a curly brunette with a very large chest and she is blonde and flat on the show... practically the complete opposite!

I think that Blake Lively will make a good Serena though...

Oh god this is gonna be like the new Laguna beach, i have a feel aloot of people will watch it.

I've only read the first book,it was ok. i could say it kept me interested but nothing to special

I definitely wanna catch one of them when it airs...but I have a feeling that it's gonna be one of those shows that either does really well or really badly.

like you know how in the books they say serena is like a godess, so pretty, etc?
well blake lively (the girl that plays sereena) is cute and pretty, but i always thoguht serena would be WAY prettier
i guess when i read the books i imagined what the people would look like, so i guess i expected them to look that way!

^Yeah I totally agree about Serena. But then again, none of the people really look like what I imagined them to be, except Dan and Blair.

The trailer was awesome. I really like Kristen Bell's voiceovers! Even if there's no Veronica Mars, at least we'll hear her on this show! And the actress that plays Jenny on the show seems to be doing a good job. She doesn't look at all like she was described in the books, but her personality comes off as the same - cute, bubbly, a bit dim.

I thought it was pretty boring, maybe because I saw the long trailer and knew basically what was going to happen. They changed so much from the books. I just hope it doesn't get really cheesy and cliched in a soap opera style. It needs to be outrageous, but not jump the shark. It has to be funny, not just drama drama drama.

I thought it was actually a bit boring, too. I mean, I love it already... but the premier was boring. I haven't read ANY of the books, but I already saw like.. 3 different trailers before it premiered... so I already knew what was going to happen in the first episode.

I'm looking forward to the next ep, though! :icon_yahoo:

@greenism: I totally agree! Penn Bagdley is sooo HOT 8) . I loved him in "John Tucker Must Die"... he looks so much cuter with shorter hair. He's such a sweet guy as Dan, too... I just love those sort of guys... sweet, a bit dorky/geeky, cute, sincere, modest Razz

I thought it was great when he went to hide behind the clothesrack. A total "awww" moment for me. I *LOVE* his character. I wonder what he's like in real life... Happy

i havnt read the books and i was kinda diappointed in the episode, i think it was because i saw the trailer that i kinda knew what was gonna happen but i am going to wait until next week's episode to decide whether or not its a show id like to watch all the time.

i thought the characters would look differenet (like you know when you read, an you envision what the characters look like)

jenny should of had brown hair and big boobs
nate should have been hotter
dan not as hot
serena prettier
eric (serena's bro) at BROWN university....
and blair was perfect

i guess maybe they were trying to cange things from the book a bit
cause like i have read all the books so it is kinda predictable
o well it is my new fave show!

The first episode was pretty good, but I expected it to be better..It included basically EVERYTHING from the first book, so I'm anxious to see what they'll come up with next, since there's probably going to be a lot of seasons.

i actually really like the premier, but i have never read any of the books

its probably because i love like the actress who plays serena (she was in sisterhood of the travelling pants). and dan is sooo cute!

^haha yeah Dan is adorable! He looks better than Nate, imo.

And you can't really expect Serena in the show to be extremely drop dead gorgeous because in the books they made her seem so gorgeous it was almost unreal...and honestly, no one is like that in real life.

Today's ep of Gossip Girl was soo awesome. Dan is so hot! I really feel sorry for him. He had this perfect picture of Serena in his head that he's had for so long, and then he finds out about what Serena and Nate did. But then, everyone makes mistakes. What I don't get is why doesn't Serena explain that her and Nate were both drunk when they had sex? I mean yeah, it's not much of an excuse, but it certainly does help if it was mentioned (in my opinion). I really feel for him.
