What are Kabuki brushes? Where can you get them in Canada because I always hear about people getting them in Target and we don't have a Target here so....

Yes, you can get them in Canada. Sephora, drugstores even. MAC sells practically every brush.
And they're used for applying traditional Japanese cultural makeup (the white stuff). But people also use it for stuff like shimmer powder, blush/bronzer, and loose powder.

I don't use one, though.

BC has drugstores that I've never even seen or heard of so I wouldn't know, sorry. =/ But of the ones I do know, I'm sure Shoppers Drug Mart has something... usually Quo has lots of different kinds, but I'm not too sure. Good luck on finding one! =]

A lot of people use Kabuki brushes to "buff" in mineral powder foundations .. like for Bare Escentuals id bareMinerals stuff, people use a Kabuki brush to get really good coverage. They buff it in almost like a circular motion to get a really even finish.

If you're going to use your Kabuki brush for this purpose, make sure you get a good quality one and clean it often .. so you're not buffing in bacteria into your pores. Even order one off Sephora online, if you're going to use it all the time on your face .. it's like a long-term purchase, you can use it for a really long time if it's good quality and you take care of them, so might as well invest in a good one that won't "shed" or give you a streaky application.

I know that the Shoppers Drug Marts in BC that carry Smashbox sell one.
Off the top of my head theres on in Surrey, Metrotown, Walnut Grove that sell them.
i'm sure a lot more do as well.
